THE RETURN : HOW THE FIRST BORN BECAME SLAVES,

This is the story of my Family and the journey of how the Idua family as the first born became the slaves, this is a journey that began over 620 years ago, We happen to be the 8th generation of the family ever since this journey started, going by my name to the, to the seventh generation. (Ekeminiabasi Aduoh Etukudo udoudo Udoada Akpakpan Anonoh Abossy) that is my name in full, as a full member of the family.

Idua family is situated in a village known as ikot akpatek in Oniong West Ward1, Onna Local government Area of Akwa Ibom state, south south Nigeria, The journey began with a man who married a woman and was blessed with 5 children, the story has it that in those days, when someone is migrating from one location to another, He will have to verify and be sure that the environment will be free for him, This was done, often by observing through from a distance if you will see were there is possible smoke raising into the air, then you will know that there is another who has began building a family around there, as such he will relocate to else were.

The story went on that the man finally located a place and stayed, there he began to build his family until other fishermen located the area and also raised their family there, as time went on the number of persons have so increased and there was need for the leadership structure to be built in other to regulate and governs the activities of that geographical area, As it was in those days where the light of the gospel has not yet spread, many families had one dirty that was worshiped by them, this man as it were also did have a very powerful one that was very destructive, it was highly feared within that region and again the also were the once with the leadership mantle, the other set of persons collaborated and made plans on how to over through the man who came in first and his family.

As we are told that the scepter of authority was hanged on the tree that was at the center of the residence it was hard for any man to come in to take it and they did not know that the other set have structured their plans to get, one day when the strong men had gone to the farm far from the place of residence, the enemies invaded the compound, overpowered the few persons that were around, killed both men and women, dumped their bodies by a valley that was close to the compound and by so doing was able to carry the scepter of leadership, before they other men came back, the did was already done, that was how the community was named AKPATEK till date, being the name of the leader of the other set that took the scepter of authority by force.

from that day, the first born became slaves, over the past seven generations of the existence of that community, the IDUA people have saved under the akpateks, In the past generations no one had interest in the leadership of the community but of recent when strange things began to happen in the community, some young fellow began to ask question's to know how it all began, so as to see how possible it will be to also become the leading persons in that community, we fond out that the possibility is slim but that we have to act fast.

Now the journey has began to legally return the scepter back to the first born, though it likely not going to be an easy one but we know that it will go through successfully. Idua will become the first born again and will take their rightful place, i also do believe that when that happens, there will be so much joy, peace and harmony. Thanks for having me @ekotmordemy
