Es una pregunta que a menudo nos debemos hacer, pasamos mucho tiempo trabajando duro por cumplir nuestras metas, pero muchas veces nos da miedo salir de nuestra zona de confort o simplemente la vida nos lleva a reinventarnos hacia otros lados. En Venezuela actualmente vemos muchos abogados que son taxistas y muchos médicos especialistas que trabajan en su negocio de comida rápida y son cosas valiosas que se deben aplaudir, ya que pese a lo malo buscaron una manera de tener estabilidad. Hoy les compartiré el camino para salir de mi zona de confort y así poder lograr una de las cosas que más deseaba hacer, como lo es tener algo de estabilidad económica haciendo cosas que siempre quise hacer y nunca me atreví a dar el paso hacia adelante, pero si algo me ha dejado la pandemia por covid 19 es sin duda atreverme a hacer lo que mi corazón me dice. Quise que 2023 empezara con pasos grandes hacia ello.

Como muchos ya sabrán por mis publicaciones anteriores, me gradué de médico cirujano, tengo 1 maestría y 1 postgrado, sin embargo en mi país Venezuela, ser médico no es sinónimo de tener estabilidad económica, es como si estudiar 6 años más 1 de retardo, más 1 de rural, más 3 de postgrado, no bastará, así que para lograr tener estabilidad económica se necesita una base o un fondo económico, para los postgrados también y puede llegar a ser bastante complicado si no los tienes, así que un día sentado viendo las montañas frente a mi casa me dije que debía hacer cambios, ya que no tenía ni 3$ en mi cuenta y necesitaba ver posibilidades. Desde hace tiempo había tenido algunas propuestas para hacer cosas diferentes, entre ellas modelar para una marca de ropa interior y de camisas para caballeros, también para trabajar en contabilidad, los números a pesar de ser médico, se me dan muy bien desde pequeño, así que pese a lo que les comento arriba, decidí que oportunidad que iba llegando, oportunidad que iba tomando, aquí les menciono algunas de ellas:

La moda siempre ha sido parte de mí, al ver películas me fijo en los atuendos más que en la trama, en redes sociales me encanta ver el trabajo de muchos artistas que dan una visión completamente vanguardista al como lucir una prenda, además de eso, también está la personalidades famosas que influencian que abren puertas a la moda, en mi caso mis dos iconos en su forma de vestir son Manu Ríos y Thomas Doherty, son actores y modelos internacionales, Manu seguramente lo conocerán por la serie Élite, y a Thomas seguro lo conoces por la nueva adaptación de Gossip Girl, la cosa es que ellos se visten de una manera tan distinta e innovadora que es justamente lo que he tenido en mente por muchos años, tanto así, que sigo a sus principales diseñadores en redes sociales.

A mediado del 2020 con todo el tema de pandemia, quise estudiar moda, la idea era tener los conocimientos para lanzar mi línea de ropa y de esa forma concretar mi emprendimiento, haciendo algo que a pesar de que genera mucho trabajo, también me hace muy feliz, pero las máquinas de coser son muy caras y no tenía nada de presupuesto para una.

Ya venía de alquilar un consultorio médico, que lamentablemente fracasó por el incremento en el alquiler y como todas las ganancias se iban en pagos, no era rentable, así que necesitaba una forma de generar ingresos a bajos costos.

Le dije a mi pareja que ahorraría durante todo el año para poder comprar una máquina de coser, ya tenía muchos de los instrumentos que necesitaba como reglas, cintas, tijeras, telas e hilo, pero mi gran sorpresa la tuve el 25 de diciembre cuando veo bajo el árbol una máquina de coser y tenía mi nombre 😍, sí, me la obsequió y fue un gesto bastante bonito que me sorprendió mucho y significó mucho para mí.

A solo una semana del fin de año me propuse confeccionar unas piezas para recibir el año 2023 usando algo realizado por mí, no les miento, a pesar de tener los conocimientos, me llevó mucho trabajo, muchas horas de no dormir y mucho sudor, pero al final lo pude lograr y el resultado me gustó mucho.

Los pasos para la confección realmente son sencillos, pero lo que se me hizo muy difícil fue realizar los patrones, eso debido a que soy terrible cuadrando líneas 😂, nunca me salen rectas, entonces dediqué mucho tiempo en hacerlo con calma y así poder confeccionar a la medida.

Tenía unas telas guardadas desde hace un tiempo las cuales compré para hacer una cortinas, pero la tela era realmente hermosa y no tapaba mucho la claridad del sol, así que no pude aguantar y las usé 🤣, así que finalmente pude tener todo un conjunto muy cómodo, agradable y bonito. Falta mucho por aprender, por mejorar y por hacer, pero el diseño me apasiona sin duda alguna, porfavor deseénme suerte para una próxima tienda online ♥️.

Los números siempre han estado presentes en mi vida, siempre me daba mucha risa escuchar compañeros en la carrera de medicina que me decían que la única causa de estudiarla era no tener contacto con números y fórmulas y al toparse con asignaturas como estadística o epidemiología se retiraban incluso de la carrera.

Sí, en medicina vemos números, fórmulas y cuentas y créanme que bastante, pero más allá de eso, los números han sido mis amigos, así que me preparé como asistente administrativo y contable, ante temas de obligaciones tributarias y parafiscales y ha sido genial, incluso me estoy planteando estudiar una tercera carrera.

Sé que muchas veces nos dicen que si elegimos un camino debemos siempre ir por allí sin mirar a los lados, pero la reinvención personal parte de ver a los lados. Probablemente si hacemos eso nos entraremos caminos que nos gustarían mucho y aportarán a nosotros un poco más de estabilidad económica que definitivamente todos necesitamos, siempre he creído que mientras más conocimientos tenemos más preparados estamos ante la vida, más autosuficientes somos y más podemos aportar a la sociedad.

Durante el 2021 me llegaron algunas propuestas para ser modelo en pasarelas para dos marcas de ropa interior y una de camisas de caballero, la verdad siempre dije que no, porque siempre he tenido ciertos complejos con mi físico, es decir, siempre me he visto como una persona no muy agraciada, pero salí de mi zona de confort y lo acepté, y esa decisión abrió aún más puertas para muchas más oportunidades en mi vida.

Además de todo, llegué a Hive, que es un lugar seguro mentalmente para mí, un lugar donde puedo escribir y conocer personas que aportan mucho a nuestra vida, un lugar que transforma, más allá de la recompensa económica, es un lugar donde se aprende mucho, que amerita mucho esfuerzo mucha dedicación, pero también te genera mucha paz y esperanza en el mañana.

I had some fabrics saved from some time ago which I bought to make a curtains,but the fabric was really beautiful and it didn't cover much the sun clarity, so I couldn't hold it and I used them 🤣. so finally I could have a whole set very comfortable, nice and pretty. Numbers have always been present in my life, it always made me laugh to hear colleagues in the medical career who told me that the only reason to study it was not to have contact with numbers and formulas, and when they came across subjects such as statistics or epidemiology they even withdrew from the career.
