Hola amigos Cinéfilos de Hive seguimos con los relatos salvajes de la magistral película argentina de Damián Szifron, esta vez analizaremos el carácter oculto del segundo relato denominados las ratas, antes de comenzar debo recordar que ya he realizado un Pots relacionado con toda la película, además del análisis de Pasternak primer relato de la misma, te invito a que le eches un ojo así tendrás una visión más amplia de esta creación exitosa.

After the intró that shows us the tragic story of Pasternak, begins in a softer way the quiet image of the film could be considered the conceptual beginning of the idea of the film, but it has already started from the first scene, and jumps to an atmosphere of quiet time where nothing has happened but as time passes will get the wild spirit that characterizes this film. Tristemente tiempo atrás habían perdido la casa y llevo a tener daños sicológicos en el padre que lo llevo a quitase la vida, la cocina que había estado en la cárcel, le explicar un plan maquiavélico para colocar veneno de ratas en la comida y que nadie se diera cuenta, la muchacha lo rechaza le dice que sería una locura, la mesonera vuelve a la mesa, pero Cuenca con el mismo tono preponderante le pide unas papas fritas, con una gaseosa, de regreso a la cocina la cocinera sigue con la propuestas de poner matarratas a la comida, acá con un dialogo nihilista la cocinera nos enseña su visión de la vida.
La camarera le lleva la comida a Cuenca, para enterarse que de que la cocinera cometió el acto de envenenar las papas fritas, la mesonera se alarma pero la cocinera la tranquiliza con un plan macabro, en ese momento llega un autobús donde se baja un muchacho y es recibido por Cuenca se trata de Alexis su hijo, que comienza a probar la comida envenenada, la mesonera vuelve a intentar quítale el plato de comida pero no lo logra ya que Cuenca no lo permite groseramente, Alexis comienza a sentirse mal y en ese momento la camarera le laza las papas en la cara a Cuenca.
El se levanta con una enorme furia, golpea y tira al piso a la mesonera, pero en eso llega la cocinera por detrás y da una seria de puñaladas por la espalda a Cuenca, donde este queda desangrado en el piso, luego se ve cuando Alexis vomita y se salva, la escena culmina en la mañana siguiente con la ambulancia llevándose el cuerpo de Cuenca y la cocinara encerrada en la patrulla policial donde se la llevan a la mirada de la mesonera y Alexis.

Acaso el personaje de Cuenca era necesario para hacer funcionar un sistema político o financiero, porque le quito la casa a la familia de la camarera, ellos no serian los responsables de su propia económica, luego esta su postulación para intendente ¿para tal vez tener más control y poder abusar de ese poder? Si deconstruimos a Cuenca nos damos cuenta una realidad, es un persona muy asociada a nuestra realidad latinoamericana, acá podemos hacer una pausa y preguntarnos, ¿era necesario matar a Cuenca?
La respuesta más humana es que ninguna decisión estar por encima de decidir la continuada de la vida de otros, por mas déspota o malvada que sea, sin lugar a duda Cuenca no era una buena persona, era un abusador pero además tenía un hijo, quien podría asegurarnos que sería igual a su padre, porque se reunió en lugar alejado cual era el motivo de esa reunión, podría ser acaso la oportunidad para enseñarle a su hijo el camino de despotismo, esto no lo podremos saber nunca porque llego el momento que acabo con la rata.
In this story we find the wild instincts, the title "rats" fits very well, since it symbolizes how they want to exterminate the life of a person personified as a rat, which in this case would be a basin, we emphasize the great performance of César Bordón who at all times is presented as the most hated character, with bad answers, with a background of being a corrupt politician, He also abuses his power to belittle the waitress at all times, his phrases, "it seems that you are good at mathematics" "you want me to write it down" or "you have to look more at the salon" which adds aggressiveness at the end by the response to the waitress who tried to save his life, cuenca is that rat that must be eliminated but is it necessary to kill the rats? Perhaps the character of cuenca was necessary to make a political or financial system work, because he took away the house of the waitress' family, they would not be responsible for their own economy, then there is his candidacy for mayor to perhaps have more control and be able to abuse that power? If we deconstruct cuenca we realize a reality, he is a person very associated to our Latin American reality, here we can pause and ask ourselves, was it necessary to kill cuenca? There is the character of the kind innkeeper who remains from the moment she recognizes Cuenca very tense and nervous, she never had the intention of hurting Cuenca who would be symbolically the hunter and at the same time that rat, neither did she agree with the plan to poison him, she was always aware of the consequences that would bring to kill the rat of Cuenca, besides that, he had the courage to face his fear, to complete the attempt to save the life of Cuenca and his son, the character of the innkeeper is the conscious voice in our head that warns us of the good and the bad, of the consequences that would bring to commit these savage acts.
On the contrary, the cook, shows us her cold personality, the bloodthirsty thought of her mind as she herself refers "this life is shit" shows us that the rats must be killed so that everything is clean, she had already been in prison and knew what she was facing, besides she devised a perfect plan to end the life of Cuenca, but is the cook good because she came for what Cuenca had done to the waitress? Or is she simply bad for killing a person? If we go back to universal principles, every person's life has value, our decisions are not above anyone's life.

Lo interesante acá es la manera de cómo tomar la justicia a un hecho como este, si había una injusticia que se podría resolver de una manera más racional y es por esto que se hace presente la justicia animal que nos separa al momento de recapacitar de cometer un error, en una entrevista antes del estreno de la película, la actriz Rita Cortez dijo “desdichado el país que necesita héroes” algo muy importante y reflexivo que nos deja este segundo relato, es que veces necesitamos de esos héroes que hagan justicia por aquellos que son perseguidos por esos villanos, la justicia como castigo, también ahora nosotros nos tocaría preguntarnos cuál es el camino correcto.
We can agree that Cuenca was an abuser, a despot, a rat, who took advantage of the underprivileged, then we have the cook, who sees an unjust deed and then decides to take revenge as her own hands, with the plan to venerate him, putting an end to Cuenca, but the kind soul in addition to the charge of conscience of the waitress at least managed to save the innocent life of Alexis, but the fury of the cook was enough for us, with knife in hand in the back just with Cuenca, the interesting thing here is how to take justice to a fact like this, If there was an injustice that could be solved in a more rational way and this is why animal justice is present that separates us at the moment of thinking about making a mistake, in an interview before the premiere of the film, the actress Rita Cortez said "unfortunate the country that needs heroes" something very important and reflective that leaves us this second story, is that sometimes we need those heroes to do justice for those who are persecuted by these villains, justice as punishment, now we would also ask ourselves what is the right way.
