Greetings community, for those who don't know me, I'm ElFinoNFT, I create content on #Hive and YouTube, usually games, mostly #Splinterlands, a game that I love and to which I dedicate much of my time. They recently completed their SPS Airdrop and opened the way to the Liquidity Pools in Splinterlands.

Most of my invitations in Hive I have in this game. With this new update, I logically had to participate in these Liquidity Pools, I currently have almost $100 invested in liquidity concerning 3 pairs that give me good benefits in my personal opinion.

I honestly did not know what it meant to be a liquidity provider, this led me to investigate more on the subject and I found the IMPERMANENT LOSS, a concept unknown to me and it is something that has to be taken into account when investing in this type. of assets because they are part of the risks that are present in this type of investment. If you want to investigate more about this topic, I invite you to read this article.

But in short, it is a loss concerning the movement of the currencies of the bet pair that, being honest, is often absorbed by the commissions or the interest that you earn in this type of investment, which you do have to take into account are the levels of fluctuation of the currencies, the greater the fluctuation, the greater the risk of IMPERMANENT LOSS, which in Spanish translates as impermanent loss, this is because said loss does not materialize in its entirety until the moment in which you withdraw your liquid from the pool. After all, the coins will follow their fluctuation the pool will always try to match the pairs you have a bet.

On the other hand, there is also the risk that the currencies will fall in price, which is another form of loss that we must keep in mind when investing in these assets. I hope this article will help you to see from a more critical point of view when making any investment, remember that all these investments are at your own risk and criteria, that is why it is important to analyze all the options and have a broader view of your investment.

Be careful, I do not mean to say that you should not invest in the Liquidity Pools because if it were not profitable, nobody would invest in them, and of course, if it has great profitability, in fact, I still have investments there, especially in those of Splinterlands, which in my personal opinion I fully trusted, what I do want is for you to keep these concepts in mind so that you can make better decisions and understand a little better the risks that this implies when you are a liquidity provider.
