Market Friday

It's been quite some time since I last posted for this Market Friday theme. Well, it's because due to the pandemic, I have not been going out for quite a long time.

Since the lockdown has been lifted and more people started to go out, so here I am showing some photos of the market I went last Sunday. I bought some light bulbs coz the ones in the kitchen were burnt and needed to be changed.

I visited BMC Mall. NSK Hypermarket is at the ground floor of the mall. My husband would come here on a weekly basis to buy grocery and fruits.

Christmas is just a month away, and the mall has put up some beautiful Christmas decorations. 🎄☃️🎅

If this is the first time you come across Market Friday, you should check out @dswigle's Market Friday tag! It's cool to be able to visit the market via the post.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how ("Borrowed" from Denise's post)

Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
Take pictures! Be creative!
Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?
Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)
Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so Denise can find it
Following @dswigle and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
Please only one post each week. Believe it not, Denise runs out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

😁😊🙃

Thanks to Justin (@ justinparke), you gave me an idea, maybe I can add a Malay word in every post. Then everyone can learn a new language.

What I love so much about this time of the year in the market is just the colorful display of Christmas decorations. It makes me so happy and wish Christmas could not go away at all.

It can be Christmas everyday if we have Christmas in our heart. Spread the joy and happiness to everyone around us. Merry Christmas ☃️🎄🎅🎁💝

That is pretty cool, adding a word to each post. Might I suggest that you add a phonetic pronunciation? Otherwise, people will never get it right. :)

Your mall is decorated so nicely! I love this time of year with everything so nice and festive! I am still not used to grocery stores being in the Mall. They are usually a standalone store in most places. I want to thank you for stopping by and supporting #MarketFriday this week! It is always a pleasure to see you!

#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.

Hi Denise! Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to figure out how to put in the pronunciation part. And Market Friday has evolved a lot... Really love how we can visit different places virtually, see different cultures and places virtually. 😊
