Rain and jam not stopping our date

Hello Hive! Hello HiveFest! Hello everyone!

It's been really a long time and I know I did said I am gonna be back... And then, erm, bad habit of mine, no discipline and all sorts of excuses... But this time if I slack off a bit @davidke20 will turn into the disciplinary teacher 🫣

HiveFest in Malaysia but I couldn't make it as my husband was outstation for the whole week. So I had to be the driver for my girls throughout the day. In and out of schools and tuitions.

But I did manage to hang out with a few of the good friends on Tuesday night and last night. Super awesome hangout! Tuesday we had bah kut teh with @bitrocker2020 @littlenewthings @macchiata @arcange

Last night @davidke20 @arcange @detlev @cryptospa @macchiata @walterjay me and two of my girls @ryenneleow @vinnieleow had a wonderful yummilious and sweet night. The rain and jam didn't stop us at all. Initially we were supposed to go for the Nasi Lemak Bumbung but had to change to New Paris due to the rain. Why? Coz Nasi Lemak Bumbung have no bumbung. (Bumbung means roof in Malay). Really need to thanks David for the alternative and also for the transportation arrangements!

Me and my girls arrived late due to a few wrong turns. Yup, even though I am following Google's instructions, well, erm, ya... 🫣😅

I was so so so happy to see everyone! Even though we have not been in contact for a long time, but there's no awkwardness or dead air... Thanks to @cryptospa and @detlev for the gifts... Even gifts for my girls... Wow! 🥰🥰🥰

And then talk about the food... Ooo... Really good 👍 We had pork, chicken, prawn, calamari, clams, beans... Spicy, sweet, sour... We have all the flavours... This is the first time I visited this restaurant and it's good!

After munching, crunching and punching, we decided to switch a place to hangout and have something sweet. So our next stop, Tang Fei dessert... The desserts are a combination of traditional and modern taste.... Mostly sweet, but if you don't take sugar, then you can opt for the Gui Ling Gao or Tau Fu Fa, which the sugar syrup can be served separately.

Gui Ling Gao is a herbal jelly, has a slightly bitter taste, often served chilled with honey or syrup to balance the flavor. It's believed to have cooling properties in Traditional Chinese Medicine and being used to reduce “heatiness,” improve skin, and aid digestion.

Tau Fu Fa is tofu pudding. It's typically topped with sweet syrup, ginger, brown sugar, or gula Melaka in Malaysia.

I am not really into sweet desserts, but I still take some... @cryptospa and @vinnieleow both have their eyes on the signature nine grid dessert... So we shared these sweet feast together. A small bowl of nine different desserts... Great choice if we have a big group and have no idea what to choose...

Time ticking away so fast... Few hours went away in a few blinkings... And it's getting late... And we had to say goodbye and goodnight...

Looking forward to seeing more today... I am gonna bring my husband and my eldest @halleyleow to Beer Saturday!!! Yup yup... This is my plan and gonna get this executed 😏😬
