My Passion — Ladies Of Hive Contest #90

Passion is said to be a great, strong, powerful emotion one feels towards something. So yes! there are couple of things am passionate about:

Fashion
I'm so passionate about fashion because it helps me in being confident. There is this fulfillment that comes with designing an outfit myself, it helps me express my creativity in a short period. Dress up a client to boss up an occasion looking elegant and simple. There is this simple saying that looking good is a good business and fashion has helped me achieve that alot when it has to do with myself and even clients.

I have a strong connection with passion, guess that's the reason why I had to go back to it after my undergraduate studies. It wasn't an easy one, going back to start learning from the scratch at a period where you are suppose
to be earning. I got discouraged by a lot of my friends and even family members, but my love and passion for fashion was so strong that I have a deaf ear to all their discouragement. And now, my work speaks for itself. Though I am still at the early stage of practicing, so far, I am proud of the progress.
This I also consider as my business — my plan to improve my economic status. I desire to be one of the greatest fashion designers of my time. I know this is a big dream, but it is certainly achievable!

Writing

Funny how I am passionate about writing yet am just fair in reading. But actually writing has been a major passion to me because I can express my thoughts, imaginations, fears, hopes and stress through just a paper and a pen. I can remember having a very tender diary and when I go through it now I would laugh. Even in my university days, I still made use of my diary — in fact, it was my best friend. The friend that always cares to listen without getting tired of complaints.

Knowing the Hive Blockchain not only offered me an opportunity to enjoy what I like doing but has also provided a platform of improving my writing skills. Though I have not been consistent in my writing on this platform due to some external factors, I can boldly say the platform has enhanced my writing tangibly.

Reading

A writer cannot be a good writer without being a reader. From childhood, I have demonstrated my passion for reading. I love stories, entertainment and lifestyle. I won't say I have read enough, but I would say I have covered enough in terms of books that I have read. I spend most of my leisure time reading — not just books but posts from my network here on Hive and beyond.

This is my first entry to the Ladies Of Hive (LOH) weekly contest. I am pleased that there's a community where women can support one another. I would like to interact and meet more of the wonderful members of this community.
