A Majestic Heron on the Pond
A visiting heron came back for another spell on the pond. It didn't do a great deal, just stood there deep in thought. Obviously, not very hungry.
It moved into the water. I thought finally, s/he was looking for breakfast but it just carried on standing there. They are so majestic looking but funny looking too.
I think in the end it just wanted to wash its feet!
Well ... what can I say? My heron got photo bombed by a flying mallard!

Cool shots. I still want to capture one in hunting mode. I see them often when I cycle, but I don't have my camera with me then.
I've seen one eating a way to large fish once too 😂
I know it's nature and they can't nip down to the supermarket, but it would upset me too much. I'm a wimp!
