A Monochrome Walk through the Park
For my #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay, we made a second visit to walk around Alvaston Park in Derby. It's quite a big park so it takes two visits to see it all.
It was quite a dull, crisp day. Winter seems to be knocking on autumn's door and saying "winter's here!"
The model boat group were out again. It was too cold for me to stand around though, so we had a quick walk around the lake.
You can tell the swans are well fed here as they all seem to be quite friendly with each other. They're usually quite territorial, but if there's a lot of food about they seem to rub alongside one another.
There is some artwork in the park to commemorate sports stars and the Olympics. The five rings symbolise the five continents of Europe, Africa, Asia, America, and Oceania.
I usually enjoy my walks but it was too cold today. Time to get the winter woollies out!

You did better than me this last two days my walks have bene in the mall at 8 when they open for walkers, with the temps below freezing in the morning, and not much above at all yesterday and today I am not going out with my camera

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Oooo just hearing that you have temperatures below freezing makes me shiver. If it gets colder here, my Wednesday Walks might get shorter and shorter!
Luckily I have plenty of photos I can use if needed till spring

Great shots @ellenripley especially the swan's bent neck, and even though the B&W, makes them look a little bit spooky-ish sort of..., lol...I don't see any of the usual, real spooky stuff..a bit of a change of pace eh?
I decided to stay out of the graveyard this week. 😁

I've had to go and lie down in a spooky, darkened room. 😆
