A Wednesday Walk in the Peak District, Derbyshire, UK

Yet another day with mixed weather as we decided to have a walk in the Peak District in Derbyshire. I wore shorts but also had my gloves on! I had to cover all eventualities weatherwise for my #wednesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay.

It is a great place for different kinds of walks, it all depends if you want to have a stroll or something more taxing. A stroll over the wooden bridge for a small, flat circular walk was fine by me. Even though lots of people visit, there are enough acres to get away from the maddening crowd.

We followed the footpath past the lovely rhododendron bushes to the lake.

It was good to see the brightly coloured mandarin ducks were still in residency.

We also saw some swans with their cygnets. In less than a year, the cygnets will be leaving the nest to pastures new.

As it's a popular spot for walking, these ice cream carts do a roaring trade at the end of your walk. Don't mind if I do ....

They literally have attempeted my murder and are trying to kill me with V2K and RNM. Five years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Funny… I have fingerless gloves on a lot of the time. 😉😁not in the summer but most other seasons.

that first photo just draws us all in the explore your post and I am glad I did such a beautiful walk the beauty of nature all around

an icecream after a walk on a nice day sounds perfect
