Eat and Drink at the Book Cafe
We popped into the Book Cafe in Belper, Derbyshire. It's a listed building and part of an old mill from the 1800s.
It was quite quirky inside. Lots of fairy lights and a bicycle on the wall. What's not to like?
There's a lot to look at while waiting for your food. Books everywhere. I loved the way they'd upcycled an old ladder to become a book shelf.
The food is freshly made and very tasty. My brother had chicken strips ....
..... and I had an halloumi burger with chips. I enjoyed the large portions! I was completely stuffed!
Looks like the owner has had a bit of fun with the male and female toilets.
Overall, it had a lovely cozy atmosphere, good food, friendly staff and a large outdoor seating area. It's a place I would definitely revisit.
