Nerd Alert - Model Boats on the Lake
We paid a visit to Alvaston Park in Derby this morning. We'd heard a model boat club sail their boats on the lake every Wednesdays and Saturdays. Forever the nerd, I had to go and check them out. Knowing me I will end up buying one!
I'd never been to this park before. It was quite big and a hive of activity.
It wasn’t long before our little group of boaters arrived. We felt like stalkers as we accompanied one of them to the lake.
The boats were a mix of tug boats, cruisers and sailing boats.
This tug boat would have cost about £400 but the chap bought it off ebay for £200.
..... then the red speed boat arrived. I loved watching the other boats, but for me, the speed boat won hands down!
It wouldn't have been fair not to have taken photos of the crew members!
The boat club members were a very hospitable and a friendly bunch. Hopefully, I will see them again sometime.

These are some awesome pictures I love it! This looks like such a cool thing to do hahaha I would go all the time! The speed boat was cool but I love the one that looks like the titanic.
