Sublime Sunday - Yarn Bombing
Yarn bombing is a type of street art. Knitters make all sorts of toppers or wraps to decorate post boxes, bollards and lamp posts for different occasions.
Just before Christmas knitted hats appeared on our post boxes and bollards.
It's been happening for a few years now and I've never found out who is responsible for them, but they are good fun. Perhaps the fairies come out at night to put them on.
They will disappear at some point to be replaced by the next occasion.

Great to see this tradition is alive and well 🙂.
I've seen some in Ramsgate and one of the yarn shops in Leicester used to decorate street furniture outside the shop, but otherwise I haven't seen any for a while.
It brightens the place up a bit!
I’ve seen a few around here in Hampshire this year. Great aren’t they!
Spotted in Spring last year!
That's a good one! 😁
They are kind people, helping people have small joys while walking on the road. Spread love. Looks funny
Yes, there are some good people about!
Wow! These are so colourful! They would get stolen in my country! Hahaha.
People will use these to decorate their houses!
Oh some have been taken I'm afraid. Not by me. 😁
