Tall Pines and Quiet Spaces

While visiting a friend in a neighbouring county, I took a short walk through a local woodland.

The weather was not great, with a light drizzle falling for most of the morning, but I thought it would still be nice to get some fresh air. I parked up and followed the footpath into the woods.

The woodland was full of tall pine trees, with lots of bright green ferns surrounding them. The area was so quiet and peaceful that it reminded me of one of those calming meditation videos.

As the drizzle became a little heavier, I decided not to venture too far from the path. One of the highlights was spotting a few ladybirds resting on the nettles. Their bright red shells stood out against the green leaves.

There was a wooden bench along the footpath. If it hadn't been raining, it would have been the perfect spot to stop for a few minutes to look at the scenery.

Although it was only a short walk, it was a pleasant way to spend an hour. Sometimes you don't need perfect weather to enjoy nature.
