Greetings friends of the @ecoTrain community. Today I share with you another spirituality topic for your reflection. We all set important goals in life that make us run after success until we achieve it. We want to prosper in all areas of our lives and we want our children to be the brightest and smartest in the world. We cherish the hope of success and we rush towards it as the most important thing in life. Living comfortably, with good finances and a nice house, seems to inject us with motivation and desire for achievement. I knew a man who achieved the glory of success, yet in the bed of his illness, his immense fortune could not bring him back to life and he perished in the midst of all that he strived for and achieved, but did not end up enjoying as he had dreamed. The desires of the things of the world, many times we achieve them, but we do not have enough life to enjoy them, because life does not depend on us but on God.
The Lord teaches in his word that this world with its desires will pass away, but he maintains that he who does his will will remain forever.

And the world and its desires pass away, but he who does the will of God abides forever. "1 John 2: 17"

We cannot cover with a finger, that we live in a very unequal world, specifically, in the social condition of each individual. There are people who set as goals, things of great consideration, but because they have economic comforts, they can achieve them. Now, you can imagine, those people in deserted places, where hunger and misery predominate and ignorance towards them abounds. What goals can these people set for themselves to get out of misery, if their daily life is pain and anguish?
The inequality in this world is alarming every day, however, the goal of every human being is to reach the highest level of success. To be an important person with high academic level and social position seems to be the most ambitious human direction. No matter how many wonderful things we achieve in this life, sooner or later, we will stop enjoying it. Possessing relevant things and believing that we will have it forever, remains in the oblivion of a fanciful dream. God is clear in his word, we have to live according to his will to have the guarantee of enjoying forever those things that God has created and that are reserved for those who do the will of the Lord on earth. This mute will pass away and with it all material things, because they are simply temporary things. God promises that doing his will leads us to eternity, where we will enjoy all those incorruptible and imperishable things. "He who does his will, abides forever".

What is not good is to set the heart and mind on things here below, because everything under heaven will be destroyed by the Lord and heaven itself will roll it up like a scroll. Trying to live well, should lead us to always try to do so, however, we must not ignore that God is the giver of all things, but He must be sought first and He will take care of adding to our life, what we need. The problem of many people is that they put this world and their desires in first place and leave God in last place. Don't wear yourself out for those things that will soon pass away, strive to do what God commands and you will enjoy a life for eternity.

And the sky disappeared like a scroll that is rolled up, and every mountain and island were removed from their place. "Revelation 6: 14"

We have hope in the Lord, that we will dwell in a place of shining peace and love, where things are imperishable and family life will be the pleasing fragrance of God's love. Whoever does the will of God, the Lord promises that he will dwell in a place where there will be a new heaven and a new earth, for all the things of this world will pass away.

I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I John saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them; and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them as their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are faithful and true. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. To him that is thirsty I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the cowardly and unbelieving, the abominable and murderers, the fornicators and sorcerers, the idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. "Revelation 21: 1-8"

Finally, dear reader, it is good to strive for all those things that generate well-being and lead us to the summit of success, but, let us not forget to give God the first place in our lives and not to ignore those who unfortunately suffer from needs in this life. God's will is that we love one another and reach out to those who suffer and cry.
