A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND

Life as a college student can be very stressful so i won't be posting much here but i hope the story you are going to read now will be worth your time.

Justin was a very shy and timid 16 year old teenager who was nicknamed "TIMID BABY" by his peers and some adults in his neighbourhood often called him by that name.

Physically he wasn't timid at all,he was 6ft2 in height and had a muscular build in fact one could mistake him for a 30 year old married man and of course he was very handsome and his deep blue eyes and well cut blonde hair added to his physical looks but he behaved so timidly that many people overlooked his physical looks and focused mainly on his timid and shy nature.

He was in his final year in high school but he was often bullied by smaller boys due to his timid nature but he was always saved by his opposite in behavior best friend Chris.

Chris was the typical high school heart rob because he was the head boy,captain of the sports team,reigning prom king and he was among the top ten most intelligent student in his set in fact he an all rounder and lest i forget he was a ladies man because the girls in school both junior and senior competed for his attention everyday by bringing snacks,cooked food and other things for him but he was a play boy and rarely gave any of them emotional attention but they still flocked around him like flies.

The boys also competed amongst themselves for his attention by doing some things for him.

Although physically and brain wise Justin topped every boy in his school but Chris always got all the attention.

People often wondered how they became best friends in the first place because they were complete opposites though the popular saying that "UNLIKE POLES ATTRACT AND LIKE POLES REPELS" may be the cause of it but no one actually knew how they became best friends.

The thing that nobody knew was that they had been friends from their childhood due to a particular incident.

Chris has not always been the all rounder student he was popularly known for, Justin and Chris lived in a different neighbourhood as kids and went to the same school but Chris was always bullied by bigger boys because he was smallish in nature so one day two big boys accosted Chris on his way from school one day and started beating him for unknown reasons but luckily Justin who was physically strong spotted them and without hesitation beat up the two boys thereby saving Chris.

They became friends after that and when they became constant targets of pranks from the neighborhood kids their families had to move to a new neighbourhood and that was when Chris vowed to change everything about himself and he also made Justin promise not to narrate any of it to people.

A new girl had just joined the final year students which was strange because new students don't normally join in the final year but some students were ready to overlook that fact because the new girl was very beautiful the popular girls were already asking her to join them but she refused because she wanted to be alone.

Chris the most popular boy and a ladies man was one of the boys that tried his luck with the new girl because he was also stunned by the new girls beauty but she refused his advances too and maintained that she wanted to be alone which shocked him because normally girls fought amongst themselves for his attention.

When students tried to woo the girl to accept their various proposals and she still maintained her stance they gave her a nickname "MYSTERIOUS GIRL" and like wildfire the name spread and soon overtook her real name which was Sandra.

Justin was another boy that was stunned by the new girls beauty and his case was different because his case was that of love at first sight but typically he kept his feelings buried deep down.

Months later the noise,gossips and different theories about the new girl had died down and the new topic was the upcoming prom.

Normally Chris and the most popular girl in the school Angel were expected to win but some other couples were also contesting.

"Will you be my prom date" were the words that flew around as students tried to find partners for the prom.

Some boys asked Sandra but she refused because she had one boy at heart and his name was JUSTIN.

She had been admiring justin all these while but she locked her feelings away due to her reserved nature.

Justin had been planning on asking her because he had no date and the prom was two days away but he was scared to ask her because he believed that she would refuse.

One day Sandra gathered courage and approached Justin which shocked him,she told him she liked him without mincing words because he was different from other boys.Sandra went ahead and asked him to be her prom date and of course he said yes and also confessed his feelings to her.

They walked home together hand in hand which left many mouths agape and when they got to Sandra's home she pecked him and ran into her home shyly.Her parents who were watching from upstairs were also surprised to see their daughter with another human being and in fact a boy whom she pecked.

It shocked them because Sandra had always been a reserved teenager and the reason she had to leave her former school was because of constant bullying from her peers who called her a freak.

The prom which was on a Saturday night was finally here, different couples trouped in looking glamorous and in fact the entire atmosphere was looking lovely that night.

Justin and Sandra walked in hand in hand like a couple that was about to wed and of course they took the spotlight from Chris and Angel who were dancing together under the gaze of everybody.

They walked to the center stage and danced to the slow song that was being played,Chris stared at his best friend in disbelief.was he the same shy boy that that that did not know how to talk to girls but he was in front of him dancing in front of everyone with the girl that refused his advances,he was happy for his friend and an idea came to his head.

He walked to the center of the stage and announced that he was passing the crown of homecoming king to his friend and finally narrated how they became best friends and how he deserved the crown,some students who bullied Justin felt miserable.Angela who normally taunted Justin had no choice but to pass her crown to Sandra.

They received the crowns and danced to a beautiful love song holding each other tightly and on that beautiful weekend night under the gaze of everybody they kissed each other passionately.
