My fan art inspired by the forest healer/ Mi fan Art inspirado en la sanadora del bosque [Version En-Es]
The green world has given us so much that, with a material as noble as wood, we can make a proposal for an accessory for the beautiful curator of the forest. A quirky 4-leaf clover pendant coated with a light layer of glitter.
The druids believed that the four-leaf clover symbolized good fortune, and whoever owned it would enjoy the luck of the gods and the powers of the forest. According to beliefs, the four leaves mean hope, faith, love and luck, or the four phases of the moon, the four seasons of the year or the four elements of nature.
I found it interesting to make this art and I want to show you the step by step to get a harmonious pendant from an ordinary piece of wood.
El mundo verde nos ha dado tanto que, con un material tan noble como la madera, podemos hacer una propuesta de accesorio para la hermosa curadora del bosque. Un peculiar colgante de un trébol de 4 hojas recubierto con una ligera capa de brillo.
Los druidas creían que el trébol de cuatro hojas simbolizaba la buena fortuna, y quien lo poseyera disfrutaría de la suerte de los dioses y de los poderes del bosque. Según las creencias, las cuatro hojas significan esperanza, fe, amor y suerte, o las cuatro fases de la luna, las cuatro estaciones del año o los cuatro elementos de la naturaleza.
Me pareció interesante hacer éste arte y les quiero mostrar el paso a paso para conseguir de un ordinario retazo de madera un armonioso colgante.

We start by making a sketch or mold of a 4-leaf clover approximately 3.5 centimeters in diameter. Once marked on the white sheet, we cut it out and transfer it to the wood.
Once framed in the wood, we proceed to make cuts with the dremel to remove all the wood that surrounds our sketch. It is a process of great attention to not damage the work that is being carried out.
With a thin diamond wick we make the openings of each clover leaf; in reality it requires a lot of care to clearly delimit each leaf and achieve approximate symmetry in each part of it.
Iniciamos haciendo un boceto o molde de un trébol de 4 hojas aproximadamente de 3.5 centímetros de diámetro. Una vez marcado en la hoja blanca lo recortamos y transferimos a la madera
Una vez enmarcado en la madera, procedemos a realizar cortes con el dremel para retirar todo la madera que rodea nuestro boceto. Es un proceso de mucha atención para no dañar el trabajo que se está efectuando.
Con una mecha diamantada delgada hacemos las aberturas de cada hoja del trébol, en realidad requiere mucho cuidado para delimitar bien cada hoja y conseguir una simetría aproximada en cada parte de el.
The next step is to work passively with the sandpaper and carpentry chisel, we start sanding with a sheet of coarse number 80 sandpaper to outline each leaf of the design. Next, with the round sandpaper and the dremel we can help ourselves to achieve a neater finish.
It actually requires a lot of patience to get a good finish on the wood, then we use a sheet of 2000 water-based sandpaper to smooth the surface of the entire design.
With a wood polishing cream and a clean cloth we can give our work a better view.
El siguiente paso es trabajar de manera pasiva con la lija y formón de carpintería, iniciamos lijando con un pliego de lija gruesa número 80 para ir perfilando cada hoja del diseño. Seguidamente con la lija redonda y el dremel podemos ayudarnos para conseguir un acabado más prolijo.
En realidad se requiere mucha paciencia para conseguir un buen acabado en la madera, luego utilizamos un pliego de lija 2000 al agua para suavizar la superficie de todo el diseño.
Con una crema para pulir madera y un trapo limpio podemos darle una mejor vista a nuestro trabajo.
Whenever we do wood work we must use a protective gloss or sealant to avoid wear and tear in a short time or to prevent moths from wreaking havoc hehe
Siempre que hacemos un trabajo en madera debemos utilizar un brillo de protección o sellador para evitar desgaste en breve tiempo o para evitar que la polilla haga estragos jeje
Finally, we attach a thin leather cord to it and our art will be ready to display on the neck of one of the cards that reflect the beautiful curator of the forest.
Por último, le colocamos un cordón de cuero delgado y nuestro arte estará listo para lucir en el cuello de una de las cartas que reflejan la hermosa curadora del bosque.
