Happy Friday to all of you,

I hope you are feeling well and have a great weekend, today I want to talk to you about El Águila Peak.

El Aguila Peak is located in the Andes Mountains in the State of Merida, Venezuela. Specifically, in the paramo of Mucuchíes of Sierra Nevada, this peak as its name suggests is represented by a monument or stone sculpture with an Eagle and is the highest point of the mountain, located about 4,118 meters above sea level.

El Águila Peak is one of the highest points of the páramo where it is very common for all visitors/tourists to park to enjoy the weather, hot chocolate, strawberries with cream, sweets, fruits, or the so-called "calentadito". In this part of the páramo, the temperature is lower than in the rest of the city, so you should dress warmly, you can see and feel the fog very close to you and it has even snowed on Pico El Águila.

I had the opportunity to visit and enjoy this place, on a trip I made with my sisters, as I indicated in my previous post we went through the Laguna de Mucubaji, and then our next stop was at the Pico El Aguila also known as Collado del Condor.

Being at the height of the peak, it is common that some people get the so-called Mal de Paramo, this is due to the altitude and the level of oxygen found in the atmosphere, since the higher the altitude the lower the amount of oxygen and this usually affects some people, this causes dizziness, vomiting, and headache. I tell you this because one of my sisters got moor sickness while she was there, she immediately got out of the car, she began to feel dizzy and all the symptoms that I mentioned before, the local people recommended us to give her a herbal tea that they sell there to try to stabilize her a little. However, we did not stay long in the place, just enough time to enjoy a good hot chocolate, buy some sweets, fruits and take pictures, then we proceeded to go down from the moor to the center of Merida since the altitude, affected my sister a lot and she was not feeling well.

As always I leave some pictures here so you can enjoy the place, if you have already visited this peak, tell me what you thought, what was your experience and if you have not visited it I recommend it, you just have to be careful if you go by car to go down slowly to avoid that when you get out of the car quickly you can get moor sickness.

Thank you all for reading me, if you have suggestions for me they will always be welcome and my message to everyone is: try every day to be your best version, remember that everything we give good or bad comes back to us in greater proportion. A hug!
