Día del padre ¿y la corredera? [Esp/Eng]

Holis, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Por aquí todo muy bien, gracias a Dios, espero que por allá también. Un poco cansada, la verdad es que hoy el día fue bastante largo, pero estaba esperándolo muchísimo porque hoy jugaba Cabo Verde contra Argentina y la verdad es que desde la mañana estaba ansiosa por ver el partido y tremendo partido porque todavía lo estoy viendo, de hecho.

I’m a bit tired, to be honest – it’s been quite a long day – but I’d been really looking forward to it because Cape Verde were playing Argentina today, and to be honest, I’ve been eager to watch the match since this morning. It’s been a cracking match – in fact, I’m still watching it as I speak.

¿Saben que ya no los había compartido cómo fue mi superdía por el Día del Padre, ya que me tocó esta vez buscar varios regalos? Por eso es que digo que hay detrás del Día del Padre. Porque, para mí, la verdad es que siempre ha sido difícil conseguir un regalo para un hombre; para mí siempre es algo difícil. Dicen que para las mujeres, pero es que la verdad es que a nosotros las mujeres nos emocionan poco cualquier cosa; yo siento que es un poquito más fácil, porque hay tantas cosas para mujeres. Que para hombres y, por lo menos en mi caso, mi novio es como que muy complicado, entonces es bastante difícil. Mi papá sí, siempre es fácil, porque la verdad es que a mi papá yo lo enamoro, siempre que sí con comida, pero esta vez quería regalarle algo que a él le quedara. Además de eso, se sumó mi cuñada, que mi hermano ya también es papá, y me pidió el favor de que le trajeran regalos, y por ese regalo también súper caminé.

Did you know I hadn’t yet told you all about my amazing Father’s Day, as it was my turn this time to sort out several presents? That’s why I say there’s more to Father’s Day than meets the eye. Because, for me, the truth is it’s always been difficult to find a present for a man; I always find it a bit of a struggle. They say it’s easier for women, but the truth is that we women aren’t easily impressed by just anything; I feel it’s a bit easier, because there are so many things for women. Whereas for men – and, at least in my case, my boyfriend is quite fussy – so it’s quite difficult. My dad, though, is always easy, because the truth is I can win him over – food always does the trick – but this time I wanted to give him something that would suit him. On top of that, my sister-in-law got involved – my brother’s a dad now too – and she asked me to get him some presents, so I really had to go the extra mile for that one as well.

Saben que ayer les compartí una tienda donde conseguí camisas de fútbol y a mi novio le va Argentina, cosa que yo no hago porque mi jugador favorito es Cristiano Ronaldo y no me gusta Argentina por eso. Entonces, como él es tan, pero tan difícil, compré una camisa de Argentina, que sabía que no podía cambiar eso así en todas las partes. Y para mi papá un short; lo que sí me costó muchísimo conseguir fue en varias partes una máquina de afeitar para mi hermano porque mi cuñada es superexigente y que yo no sabía nada de eso. Pero la noche la aprovechamos para cenar una rica pizza todos en familia, ya que eso es lo que le gusta a mi papá. Saludos.

You know, yesterday I told you about a shop where I got some football shirts, and my boyfriend supports Argentina – which I don’t, because my favourite player is Cristiano Ronaldo and I don’t like Argentina for that reason. So, as he’s so, so fussy, I bought an Argentina shirt, knowing I couldn’t just change that everywhere. And a pair of shorts for my dad; what really took me ages to find was a shaver for my brother, because my sister-in-law is super fussy and I didn’t know anything about that sort of thing. But we made the most of the evening by having a lovely pizza for dinner with the whole family, as that’s what my dad likes. Best wishes.
