Mirador Puerto Constanza, Margarita [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Espero que todo esté muy bien. Yo por aquí supercansada, pero recordando pasar por aquí aprovechando que no tengo sueño aún, pero mi día de hoy fue superlargo y, ¿qué les puedo decir?, espero que ustedes estén muy bien.

El día de hoy quería compartirles mi visita de hoy. Saben que mayormente los fines de semana juega mi sobrino Davian y somos de aquí de Antolín del Campo y siempre juegan en Juan Griego, pero la ida más fácil que tenemos es en Manzanillo antes que La Asunción, así que nos fuimos en marcha.

Today I wanted to share my visit with you. You know that my nephew Davian usually plays at the weekends, and we’re from Antolín del Campo here, and they always play in Juan Griego, but the easiest route for us is via Manzanillo rather than La Asunción, so off we went.

Al pasar, no pude evitar pedirle a mi papá quedarnos para tomar una foto, ya que la vez pasada cuando fui, que quise tomar la foto, resulta que le dije: “Cuando veníamos de retorno, todos teníamos un hambre tan grande que nadie pasó por ningún lado porque hasta yo también tenía hambre y lo que quería era llegar a mi casita.

Puerto Constanza relata su historia: recibe su nombre de acuerdo a que en su momento fue un puerto “Constante” el cual nunca tenía ningún tipo de inconveniente y trabajaba siempre, y de allí radica su nombre de la palabra de la constancia. Pasó a llamarse, hasta habitualmente, Puerto Constanza. Dejó de funcionar debido a que queda en una zona bastante complicada para las embarcaciones y, al ser un puerto tan pequeño, no podía competir con los que sí estaban en zonas más seguras y eran más grandes.

Puerto Constanza tells its story: it gets its name from the fact that, back in the day, it was a ‘Constant’ port which never had any problems and was always operational, and that is where its name comes from – from the word ‘constancy’. It came to be known, even commonly, as Puerto Constanza. It ceased to operate because it is located in an area that is quite difficult for boats, and, being such a small port, it could not compete with those that were in safer areas and were larger.

Desde entonces la zona se ha caracterizado así por su nombre original, pero lo que queda de aquello es su hermosa vista hacia el mar y créanme que los atardeceres que en ella se pueden apreciar son demasiado hermosos. Si algún día vienen a Margarita y no lo conocen, pues sería un buen sitio para visitar. ¡Saludos!

Since then, the area has been known by its original name, but all that remains of it is its beautiful view of the sea – and believe me, the sunsets you can see there are absolutely stunning. If you ever come to Margarita and haven’t been there yet, it’s definitely worth a visit. Best wishes!
