Misa de graduación [Esp/Eng]

Holis qué tan amigos cómo están por aquí todo muy bien gracias a Dios, descansando un rato porque la verdad es que estos días han sido bastante ajetriados tanto así que ni siquiera me he podido sentar un rato con mis cosas de la licenciatura pero aquí vamos sobreviviendo todo el caso de esta semana hay muchas cosas que contarles.

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Everything’s going really well, thank God. I’m taking a bit of a break because, to be honest, the last few days have been pretty hectic – so much so that I haven’t even had a chance to sit down and work on my degree stuff. But we’re getting by. Anyway, there’s loads to tell you about this week.

Hoy pasó por aquí para enseñarles un poco de todo lo que fue la misa de mi graduación la cual fue llevada a cabo el día jueves de la semana pasada. Yo como tanta no tenía mis expectativas tan altas porque era solo la misa estaba esperándose lo juro que yo estaba esperando era como tal mi graduación ya que esperé casi un año recuerdan que yo me terminé la tesis el año pasado como para agosto y ya en agosto cumplía un año de todo ese proceso.

Me encantaron mis acompañantes en especial mi abuela pero debido a su situación de que no puede estar por mucho tiempo sentada no la puede llevar al alto y solo lo lleve para la misa ya que era un momento más corto, de manera de que ella no se fuera A sentir incómoda y poder tomarla en cuenta una de las 2 fechas que eran importantes para mí porque en la universidad donde estoy el día de la firma y la graduación lo celebran el mismo día.

I popped in today to give you a little insight into my graduation mass, which took place last Thursday. Like so many others, I didn’t have very high expectations because it was just a mass; I swear I was just waiting for my actual graduation, as I’d been waiting for almost a year – remember I finished my thesis last year around August, and by August it had been a year since that whole process began.

I loved having my companions there, especially my grandmother, but because of her condition—she can’t sit for long—I couldn’t take her up to the altar; I only took her to the Mass as it was a shorter event, so that she wouldn’t feel uncomfortable and so I could include her on one of the two dates that were important to me, because at the university where I’m studying, the signing ceremony and the graduation are held on the same day.

La verdad es que la iglesia estaba muy bonita aunque yo no tenía muy buena expectativa sobre las San Nicolas de bari, ya que la última vez que yo fui estaba un poquito deteriorada y descuidado pero la verdad es que sí la han arreglado un poco y nosotros la decoramos con flores lo cual se veía muy bonita saben que sí es lo único que de verdad no me gustó que hace de más sí da calor allí dentro incluso una profesora se desmayó.

Este fue un momento para agradecerle a Dios por todo el proceso vivido y por todas las metas que aún me falta por lograr la verdad es que para mí se sintió una vibra muy bonita.

The truth is, the church looked lovely, although I didn’t have very high expectations of San Nicolás de Bari, as the last time I went it was a bit run-down and neglected. But they’ve actually done up it a bit, and we decorated it with flowers, which looked really lovely. You know, the only thing I really didn’t like was that it gets so hot in there – it’s actually too hot – and one of the teachers even fainted.

This was a moment to thank God for the whole journey I’ve been on and for all the goals I still have to achieve; the truth is, for me, it felt like a really lovely vibe.
