Un día con amigos en el trabajo [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Por aquí todo muy bien, gracias a Dios. De verdad que hoy fue un día bastante espectacular, que luego les voy a estar contando, porque hoy tengo otra cosita que contarles que no se me escape.

Saben que el día de hoy, ayer fue la fiesta de los trabajadores, la cual fue llevada a cabo en el hotel Sunsol Ecoland, que, aunque trabajo en otro lugar, la fiesta fue llevada a cabo allí para todas las unidades, pero separada por día, porque por lo menos hoy le tocó a otra unidad y ayer a nosotros, y la verdad la pasamos muy pero muy bien.

Hello, how are you all, friends? Everything’s going very well here, thank God. It really was quite a spectacular day today – I’ll tell you all about it later, because I’ve got another little thing to tell you that I don’t want to forget.

You know, yesterday was the staff party, which was held at the Sunsol Ecoland hotel. Although I work somewhere else, the party was held there for all the departments, but on separate days, because today was another department’s turn and yesterday was ours, and to be honest, we had a really, really good time.

En mi caso, yo estoy de vacaciones. Pero mi compañero Antonio, que es el que se la pasa conmigo y tiene carro, se ofreció a llevarme al lugar y yo claramente accedí, ya que fuimos él, el señor Jesús, que es otro amigo, mi persona y le dimos la cola a 2 compañeras. La verdad, llegamos bastante temprano, que nos dio tiempo de agarrar una buena mesa para ver el grupo tocar y a la gente haciendo el ridículo bailando, porque es que de verdad hay personas que como que se pasan, jajajajajaja.

La comida me gustó muchísimo, esta vez estuvo bastante buena, así como el grupo que tocó, que hasta vallenato cantaron. Igualmente, el postre estaba superdelicioso, que yo quería estar repitiendo, y nos dieron un obsequio a todos, por ejemplo, un hermoso termo; la verdad, estaba bonito, me gustó.

In my case, I’m on holiday. But my mate Antonio, who’s always hanging out with me and has a car, offered to drive me there and I obviously agreed, as it was just him, Mr Jesús—another friend—myself, and we gave two female colleagues a lift. To be honest, we arrived quite early, so we had time to grab a good table to watch the band play and people making fools of themselves dancing, because there really are people who just go a bit over the top, hahahahaha.

I really liked the food; it was quite good this time, as was the band that played – they even sang some vallenato. The dessert was absolutely delicious too; I could have gone back for seconds. They gave us all a free gift – a lovely thermos flask, for example; to be honest, it was nice, I liked it.

Pero la cosa se puso buena fue cuando terminó todo porque mi amigo Antoniodijo: “Vamos a tomarnos una cerveza, yo invito", y literalmente fue saliendo de la fiesta y entrando de licorería, qué oso, como unos borrachitos, pero bueno, tocó y yo no estaba triste por eso, jajajajaja. A mí el día, la verdad, me encantó cómo empezó y cómo terminó, porque para mí todo estuvo superespectacular, tanto en casa como en la fiesta. ¡Saludos!

But things really got going once it was all over, because my friend Antonio said, “Let’s go for a beer, it’s on me,” and he literally walked straight out of the party and into the off-licence – what a sight, like a bunch of little drunks – but hey, that’s just how it went, and I wasn’t upset about it, hahahahaha. To be honest, I loved how the day started and how it ended, because for me everything was absolutely brilliant, both at home and at the party. Cheers!
