HOW CAN THE POOR BREATH?.... When The Economy Is suffocating.

I went out to get something this evening, I was so confused and angry at the same time, I looked at the money in my hands and how useless it was, the rate at which the cost price of everything is adding up is so alarming, I felt bad, so bad at how things turned out, it's terrible, it's frustrating right now I feel like crying for my country, how did we get to this point God, what wrong have we done to deserve this punishment, wrong and incompetent men constantly dragging the seat at the top with nothing to offer, it's no more a matter of election it's now a battle of the wealthiest in the society, it's a matter of how much money you have stack, a situation were corruption is celebrated the most, we have lost track of integrity, honesty, transparency, accountability ..etc.

The Economy is failing, everything is thrice as expensive now, our currency is gradually loosing it purchasing power, everything is seriously falling apart, while I was returning this evening I met my friend trying to buy a hot plate half burner and he was told and exorbitant amount of ₦25, 000 something he bought last year for ₦10,000 , I watched him just speechless, just laughing, it sound hilarious but that was the price of it, you know it looks like we all were asleep just to wake up and found out that everything is no longer the same.

Now I wonder about a salary earner, with a family of four, how do they feed, how do they manage, we have totally lost it all ₦5, ₦10, and now ₦20 which are our lowest currency do not have any value what so ever, you can't buy anything with them the least thing as an ordinary biscuit now sales from ₦50 some ₦60 and upwards, a cup of GARRI, which is our most consumed edible foods that is either soaked to take or put with hit water to take with soup, a cup of GARRI now is from ₦200 before now a cup could sale for ₦50 some places you only get three cups for ₦500, how many cups can a family of 4 take per time not to talk of eatinga three square Meal per day.

The cost of living is at it's all time high, as we've never have it before now, we were totally unprepared for this, the naira is on a free fall, nose-diving headlong affecting the cost price of every item on the market shelf, it's even worst for salary earners, civil servants, because everyday price of things increases but their salary remain constant, no raise whatsoever amd it is heart sickening, cause no matter how much money you have you will spend so much on the very little things you normally get for a penny.

This is the result of widespread Marxism in my opinion. It’s an ugly affliction that we need to root out from every corner of the planet. It’s destructive on so many levels - most obvious in the UNchecked corruption that occurs everywhere. I’m hoping that we can turn things around and get rid of this crap!
