Good evening brethrens, it's another interesting teaching with Brother Eli.

From the previous sessions of prayer teachings, we learn about what we need to do for our prayers to be answered.
In Today's session helped us to discover other part of our bodies we should submit to God for our prayers to be answered/accepted.

In 1 Corinthians 7:4 Apostle Paul let us know that the husband and the wife has no power of their body because they have one flesh. A wife's body is for her husband and likewise the man for the wife.

I learnt that the husband should give what is due to his wife, likewise the wife gives what is due to the husband. They are now one flesh. Both has no power over their body. If you are a man, your body is for your wife, likewise the wife. Defraud ye not one another as said in 1 Corinthians 7:5. But if the husband and wife want to pray, they should practice abstain during the prayer.
God wanted us to teach us this to help us so that our prayers won't be hindered 1 Corinthians 7:4. There are times husband and wife must also abstain from sex especially in times of fasting in order not to hinder their prayers. Fasting and praying while abstaining from sex, help married couples to submit their bodies to God but shouldn't deprive each other of sex, unless both agree to stop for a short time.

Fasting

Fasting is an act done with prayer. Isaiah 58:6-8, if you will fast lose that bounds. Fasting is a very important act that help in making our prayers very effective but has to be done right.
Unload the burden of others, forgive and share your bread to the hungry, give cloths to the naked. If you are going to fast and pray as husband and wife, you will abstain from the work of the flesh.
Fasting as a spiritual exercise has even been proven scientifically to be very beneficial. Fasting for days can help to regenerate our entire system, allow the body to rest and to produce new white blood cells. Fasting is very effective and in the time of christ he taught us more about the right way of fasting Matthew 6:17.

Fasting should not be broadcast like some churches do, it should be private. In the Teachings of Christ he showed us to fast without broadcasting with our attitudes and actions.

Wives submitting to Their Husbands

the Bible commands husbands to dwell with the wife according to knowledge in order not for their prayers to be hindered. That is according to the word of God. 1 Peter 3:7
Brother Eli also advised the women to keep their body neat and good for their husband, to help him not to desire other women.

Husbands Loving Their wives As Their Own Bodies

Ephesians 5:28, Teaches that Husbands should love their wives like his own bodies. Anything you do not love for yourself, do not do that to your wife. A prudent wife is from God. Proverbs 18:22, he who finds a wife, finds a good thing and favors unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:19, Husband love your wives and do not be bitter on her. If you are such a husband who is bitter against the wife, know that it is prohibited by God.
The husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the head. Wives should submit to their husbands. It is a Mans obligation to look after his family 1 Timothy 5:8, teaches that a man who does not provide for his household is worse than an infidel.

Brother Eli in his teachings Hebrews 13:4, teaches us of being faithful to our partners, for fornicators and adulterer will be judge by God. It is prohibited for a lady to show her body to another except her husband, for this can lead others to sin. 2 Peter 2:14 when you lustfully look at the body of a woman, you have committed sin.

Hi also teach about Leviticus 18:19, teaches us not to have sexual intercourse with our partners when she is going through her period. Give honor to the wife as the weaker vessel for your prayers not to be hindered. Husband and wife should dwell according to knowledge.

1 Corinthians 11:4,5,7, 8,9,10, teaches us that men who cover their hair while praying, dishonors his head but a woman who prays without covering are her dishonors are hair. The covering of the hair for a woman shows she is in submission to her husband and Christ. Man was created for God but the woman for the Man.
