How I Made a Stylish Black Ladies Shoe: A Step by Step Tutorial

‎Last week in my previous post, I said I noticed I have been making tutorials for men's shoes for a while now, so I said this week I will be showing my tutorial on a ladies' shoe. And here it is. 😊

‎I first gather all the necessary materials that I will use during the work as usual, so that my work will go smoothly without stressing myself and looking for different materials or tools while working. So I use the opportunity to gather all my tools and materials together before I start.

‎At first, I use a black light leather. Then I took that straight box pattern and marked it into two places each. I marked it into two places in one and then added a little, about half an inch, so that it will make it a little bigger. After I finished marking, I cut it into shape.
‎

‎After I cut it into shape, I took it to the sewing machine and sewed the edge parts together. You have to join it appropriately so that your sewing will come out neatly.

‎After I finished sewing the top, I cut a long material from a very strong leather and put it inside the hole of that soft leather. I started gathering it until it gave me the better shape I wanted.

‎This particular part, I gathered it appropriately and gently. I used a very soft leather so that it would give me a better result when gathering the leather. And this is the last part for the top of the shoe.

‎Then I started with the sole. I cut the sole of the shoe. I used the back sole shape, marked it, and cut it into shape on a black Nora. I cut off one pair.

‎After I successfully cut it, I still cut off the heel part of the shoe in a black Nora. Then I marked the particular place where the heel part would stay and scratched it. I applied gum and left it to dry for about 10 minutes so that the gum would hold it well on the heel part. After it dried, I gummed and hammered it so it would catch appropriately.

‎After the heel finally dried, I applied gum round the edge of the sole. I also applied gum on my welt that I would use to welt the edge part of the shoe.

‎I applied gum to both areas and left them to dry for about 20 minutes because if the welt does not dry well in the sun, it can still pull back. So I left it to dry well.
‎

‎Then I took the sole part of the shoe that I finished welting and took it to the filing machine. I filed the round edge of the shoe to make it smooth and better looking. This particular part is very important because it will make the shoe bring out a better shape.

‎I marked and cut the insole of the shoe. I placed it on a faceless material and cut it into shape. I still placed it on a light black leather. After I marked it, I cut it into shape, applied gum, and folded it.

‎I started folding it gently without rushing so that the work would come out neatly.

‎After everything was ready, it was time to join the shoe together. I picked up the top and the insole together. I applied gum on the necessary part, which is the edge where the gum will attach when lasting.

‎I placed it on top of my last and lasted the shoe appropriately until it gave me a better position. I have used this lasting picture in one of my previous posts about this exact process.

‎After I was done with the lasting part, I applied gum at the backside of the already made lasting top. I also applied gum at the back sole of the shoe.

‎I made sure the gum was rubbed in all the necessary areas. Then I left it in the sun to dry for about two good hours. This last gum has to hold well because it is the entire shoe that I needed to apply gum to, so I left it in the sun until it dried.

‎After it dried, I joined the shoe together and hammered it properly.

‎And here is the final look of the ladies' shoe.

I really enjoyed working on this ladies shoe, and this ladies shoe has become an attraction to many ladies around my place.
‎

‎I made this ladies' shoe for just one customer, but many ladies in my place saw the design and loved it. They have also asked me to make the same design for them. They just love how the design looks, and I am so excited that they like it.
