‎I started by arranging the materials and tools needed for the work. Preparing everything before starting helps make the work easier and more organized. It also helps me avoid interruptions while working.

‎I cut the sole to the required shape and size, which is size 38. This step is important because the sole serves as the foundation of the shoe and must be properly shaped.

‎Next, I brushed the heel area, applied gum, I make it to dry for about 10 minutes and fixed the heel firmly. I made sure it was properly aligned before moving to the next stage.

I cut the insole to shape and applied gum to fix it properly inside the shoe. After fixing it, I worked on the soft leather used to cover the insole. I marked it, cut it, and apply gum all around the soft leather carefully, before placing it on top of the insole and started folding the leather all around the edge body of the sole. This step helps to make the inside of the shoe neat and more comfortable when wearing it. It also gives the shoe a clean inner finish.

‎The insole was attached to the main sole, and I added welt around the edges. This gives the sole a cleaner and more finished look.

‎I used a filing machine to smooth the edges and give the sole a cleaner finish. This process helps remove rough areas and improves the overall appearance.

At this stage, the sole part of the shoe was completed and ready for the upper section.

IMG-20260621-WA0038.jpg

‎For the upper part, I measured 13 inches on the black leather, traced the shape, and cut it out carefully according to the design.

‎I applied gum to both edges of the leather and joined the backside together neatly before sewing.

‎After joining the edges, I sewed them to make the leather stronger and neater. This also helps the upper hold its shape properly.

‎When the sewing was completed, I turned the leather inside out so the finished side could appear properly and look cleaner.

‎I cut another small strip of leather and inserted it into the opening. I adjusted and gathered the leather until I achieved the design I wanted.

‎Here, both the leather upper and the insole were completed and ready for assembly.

I applied gum to the upper and the insole, positioned it carefully in a shoe last size 38, and adjusted it until it sat correctly and matches the size of the owner which is size 38. Then i applied gum to both surfaces, allowed it to dry slightly, then joined them together and hammered the shoe to ensure a strong bond.

‎This is the final look of the gathered leather ladies shoe. I am happy with the outcome and enjoyed working on this project.

All pictures in this post are my own and we're taking by me. They were shared without any filter or addition.

This shoe took me about four days to finish. The gathering and lasting part was not easy for me because I had to adjust it many times before getting the shape I wanted. It was a little stressful, but I did not give up. I am happy that I was able to complete the shoe and share the process with you all.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work. 🙏❤️
