DAY 4: INSIGHTS FROM MY IN-HOUSE TRAINING
Achieving a peaceful, well-organized, and clean environment requires more than effort once in a while. We need a committed group of cleaners who will be responsible for the daily routines, ensuring that cleanliness and order are consistently upheld.

The duties assigned include ensuring that the kitchen, comfort room, and all surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the day. In addition to cleaning, we are also responsible for cooking meals for lunch and dinner, as well as preparing hot water for coffee during breakfast.
Day 4: A gloomy day
Mornings here usually don’t come with free viand. However, when there is leftover rice from the previous night, everyone is allowed to share it. To avoid waste, the cleaners often cook it into fried rice. Since there was no leftover rice this morning, we decided to buy pandesal from the store closest to our accommodation and paired it with coffee for breakfast.
The sky was still dark and gloomy, and it felt like it could start pouring again at any moment. Despite the non-stop rain, I noticed that the water in the canal was surprisingly clear. Then it hit me — ahhh, my laundry was still hanging outside, huhuhu. I’m worried it will develop a bad smell because the rules don’t allow us to bring wet clothes inside the room.

After buying pandesal, we made our way back to the accommodation to have breakfast and warm up with coffee.
But honestly, pandesal and coffee weren’t enough to fill us up, so we decided to look for real food instead. HEHE. Our colleagues told us about a cheaper spot they knew that serves rice with chicken pastil at a very affordable price. When we got there, however, they weren’t serving breakfast yet and only had champorado. Because of that, two of our group decided to stay and order, while the rest of us went to find another place to eat.

Finally, we found a place to eat. I decided to order rice and an egg since we still had leftover fried chicken from last night with us. To make it even better, the place offered free soup, so it felt like a complete meal.
After eating, we headed back to the accommodation because our training was scheduled to start at 9 AM. The first session focused on identifying different equipment and learning the proper way to clean the house. As newcomers, we were told to pay close attention to the one speaking in front. After the discussion, they would call our names one by one so we could take our turn demonstrating what we learned.

After the observation period, we are required to identify each piece of equipment, explain its purpose, and describe the correct procedures and techniques for using it in cleaning. During the demonstration, we are also required to record a video of our performance, as this will serve as one of the requirements for obtaining our Certificate.
And just like that, my Day 4 came to an end. It was filled with a lot of new knowledge and experiences from my very first training session.

It was already night when my stomach started growling again. But since there was nothing else around, I ended up eating junk food.
That's all for today. Thank you for reading and stopping by. Lovelots😘
