NATURE IN ITS FINEST FORM

If life gave you one choice: the quiet of the rural, or the rush of the urban. Where would you build your home?

Not gonna lie, I'm not in a great mood today. But still, another day means another nature story, right? HEHEHE

My head's been spinning, my heart feels heavy, and I'm just extra sensitive today. I don't even know why. Sometimes I just get like this — moody. Some days I just crave solitude — fresh air, stillness, and a place where quiet feels loud.

The house is a little chaotic today — it's the weekend and everyone’s home. My siblings are busy with their own stuff, and my parents are here too since it's their rest day. We don't really have privacy in our house, so it's noisy. I was craving some peace and alone time, so I decided to go to the farm. Just to take photos and pick some vegetables.

Under the scorching heat of the sun, in the middle of the plowed and wet rice field, I made my way to our farm. Even though the rice field was empty, the edge of the rice paddy was being leveled, which made it a bit tricky to cross because it was under repair. What a challenge! Lol. Felt like farm parkour on rough, tiny cliffs just to get to our own farm.

It's been a while since I was last here — maybe six months? I lost count.

But the jumps, the muddy paddies, all of it was worth it. The place is still fascinating, just... different. The typhoons left their mark. You can still see it near the creek — trash caught in the trees, debris in the water. Plastics, logs, housewares. The big flood was months ago, but the damage remains. Even my Papa's vegetables didn't survive it. Even half of his rice plants were washed out too. Nature takes, and nature gives. The flood wasted so much, but we can't fight the storm. We can only replant, rebuild, and hope for better days.

I spent my time searching for takway by the creek and ended up filming the water instead. Yay!

The sound of the flowing water was so soothing, so refreshing. The scenery warmed my heart.Nature really knows how to make you forget everything.

I wandered around a bit more, hoping to find something to bring home. A few string beans were left, but they’d already been harvested. There were okras too, lined up on the higher part of the garden, but only flowers, no pods yet.

I was tired and it was getting late, so I went home. Good thing I had plenty of takway — more than enough for dinner. I tried a different way back. It wasn’t muddy, but the sugarcane field was a mess. The sugarcanes were so tall I thought I got lost. Shessshhh. Hard to walk, hard to find the way out. But I made it. When I got home, Papa was butchering a chicken, so I saved my takway for tomorrow. And yes, I’m still the cook. Of course. Lol.

I appreciate what the city has to offer, but I wouldn’t trade the peace of the countryside for anything. I still want to live here. I’ll get things from the city when I need to, but I’ll never choose that rushed, chaotic urban life.

That’s all for today. Thanks for reading and stopping by. See you on the next one. Lovelots 😘

If I have given a choice I would always chose the quiet urban☺️ I'm also born and raised in a province and I'm very proud of it😀
