Hive and Then What?

What's your crypto portfolio like? We know Hive sits pretty and occupies a comfortable position along with some interesting second layer tokens, but what other projects do you fancy? Why do you hold them? Do you think they'd be an asset to the Hive chain or a liability in the sense that could they be integrated, or could the relationship be mutually beneficial? Do you hold because they represent an interesting backup in case the Hive project does fail, or is it because we simply have no answer to what should captivate our interests.

Many people I know who hold a significant amount of crypto assets hold BTC to a significant extent. It remains the most trustworthy asset in the crypto space and a store of value. However, BTC doesn't pose too much by way of growth and second hand capabilities. So the altcoins also pose an interesting mix due to their potential and viability. The problem though is knowing the right altcoins to invest in. A wrong move and we could potentially get burned.

I have an interest in stables that was managed by the improvement and incentivization of our own stables on the Hive chain. Even the stables have proven to be quite complex, as we saw the fall of UST Terra that sent shockwaves round the space a while back. Knowing fully well that the stables are also subject to failure should prompt us to give better assessments to the reasons we might want to hold on to them. If it is stability we want from the space, then we likely are going to be more interested in what the Hive stables have to offer than what traditional stables present.

The Hive chain though represents an avenue that we can easily learn and select the right projects for us based on the example that is Hive. If not anything, we are given an assortment of information to work with that could point us to projects that we potentially want. If you stay on the Hive chain long enough, you'd certainly be able to understand the dynamics of crypto and its mechanics. This will help us define our expectations from the space and how we'd go about actualizing them. Expectations are significant when it comes to the right information and a perfect blend of what we see on the chain puts us in an infinitely better perspective from an investment level.

Conclusion

The summary is that our stay on Hive makes us even better crypto investors than without it. Should we decide to add other portfolios to our mix it will be from a more informed perspective. Keeping a diverse portfolio is also a choice, and probably recommended as your crypto assets expand. For the early stages though, Hive has got us covered from both a potential perspective and a stability perspective. It is entirely possible that some crypto journeys will consist of just Hive powered investments and end up massive success stories.

It is very true that you do learn so much about crypto by being on Hive. Altcoins most definitely can have a bigger upside than Bitcoin and why I am researching so much. Risk is in every investment and by doing your homework you are cutting down the risks.
