Lovers of the Problem (rant)

I may not like but I acknowledge (or lemme just say respect) those who voluntarily set out to build things or take on leadership positions. Even when the drive is far from moral, when someone ultimately decides to be useful to themselves and their communities then I respect it. Leadership like Entrepreneurship comes with it own risks. The biggest I see is the potential exposure caused by enhanced scrutiny that comes with putting ourselves out there.

We are certainly not all leaders and entrepreneurs at the community level, even though some of us are doing quite well on a smaller scale. I doubt if we had our way we'd choose to be, considering the level of deviation from what a normal life represents. The majority of us are ultimately followers and stakeholders in the communities and organizations we find ourselves. It seems to be like some of us have become too comfortable with this role because of the relatively low barrier for entry.

Being stakeholders doesn't mean being active stakeholders. Needless to say if every stakeholder was an active one then leaders will make better decisions, or at least decisions more in tune with their stakeholders needs. Am not really a big fan of undue criticisms without a solution. I did struggle with apathy for both work and my political views and I mostly choose to not get emotionally involved in some rather unnecessary issues. That said, I am fully aware that apathy isn't a solution.

We all have the freedom of choice. I don't think I've ever disliked anyone I personally know for their political or religious views even when I may not agree with them. What displeases me mostly is a constant state of resentment fueled by nothing fundamentally solid. That's why a platform like Hive will be respected in my view because it is rather a solution in the media space rather than part of the problem. We all could potentially raise the weight of our voices with deliberate time and effort. I have said before that everyone that is an asset to themselves is already of value. We can go even one step better by continually seeking out solutions.

Sometimes I like to put random thoughts in my head into writing and am glad Hive gives me an opportunity to do that.

There is risk in setting out for uncertainties in the name of entrepreneur. Not all will be leaderleaders, yet as you said, a need to have a voice in a system matters too.
