There is always the probability of failure in any decision we take. I have talked about Hive as an only investment option due to the scarce nature of resources, but nothwithstanding there is need to always consider the possibility of things not working out in everything we do and the best alternative pathways in those situations.

It may or may not be the whole project that fails, and might be just a small portion but this is often enough to jeopardize an entire planned structure or sequence of decisions. Alternative actions in the event of failure I belive is necessary for one sincere reason: That this is real life, and things simply do not work out the way we plan it.

If a project on Hive fails, what would you do? If Hive fails what would you do? If crypto fails what would you do? I find doing a bit of soul searching on the nature of our investments can help us become better investors. Taking precautions and making better decisions when it is important are some of the advantages to it.

Just Incase

Creating one or two alternate scenarios may actually save us in the event of a crisis in the future. Those who lost a substantial fortune in Terra probably would be happy or wishing they had substantial investments elsewhere. Such is the nature of investing, and having a backup when possible does not really hurt.

It doesn't mean there aren't investments worth going in fully, just that one must always consider the possibility of failure and have a pathway on how to best handle it. If Hive fails for instance, I would be devastated but would focus more on my passions outside the blockchain while looking for new worthwhile projects to invest in. Being taken by surprise as an investor likely does not lead to great decisions.
