I couldn't help but notice the amount of post made about splinterlands gaming today, some coming from some people who I'd never imagined will fancy gaming of any kind.

However the rise of crypto gaming, blogging or just about any other value added service being built on the blockchain is largely as a result of the unique incentives which the blockchain is offering compared to the mainstream.

The crux of every service provided in the blockchain is that it also provides an opportunity for investment. When we consider gaming for instance, we often see a consumerist activity which can be responsible for simply wasting away countless hours if not properly controlled without giving much room for any benefits in return.

Crypto gaming however leveraging on the fun aspect that a game provides to offer some potential real life investment solutions. While one company makes Billions of dollars off consumers addiction in the mainstream, both the profits as well as the service are on offer in the blockchain, allowing individuals to completely control their stake.

It is not just gaming though, the investment as a service side of the blockchain is its biggest selling attribute. Whether it is with worthless meme coins that are used for pump and dump trading, or with services built on the chain, there is always an opportunity presented to every participant.

Perhaps this is why decentralization threatens the establishment so much, as distribution is a lot more widespread and less dependent on the whims of establishment type companies as to who gets what. Freedom is great, but it must come along with increased opportunity and a better alternative to what was on ground. Edicted has stated before that crypto's biggest selling point will be jobs, and I'm prompted to tweak that a little by saying that the blockchain's biggest selling point will be in the creation of new opportunities to thrive.
