We Still Need Solutions To Crypto's Problems

Despite our confidence in Hive's proof of value, it is important to state that the project is not immune nor independent of the crypto verse, meaning that if the entire space ends up failing, Hive likely will follow. Coming to this realization is important in order to prevent getting overly confident or unbothered with the trends of the space.

Projects like Hive are of great importance but can only do so much in isolation. While it may not stop the entire space from capitulating, it can be a good reason why the space doesn't completely collapse or ends up succeeding. If you get a handful of these kinds of projects then there is value to point at. Yet it remains pertinent not to allow this value be buried under the rubble of white Elephant projects which have no substance.

The rise of crypto has been in stages so far, and perhaps we have entered the stage where we need to separate the good and bad projects in order to develop a sustainable outlook. The space cannot continue to be known as a haven for scams and scammers. We also can do very little with Ponzi-like projects which over saturate the space gaining all the attention.

There is serious need to deter those who have ill or mischievous intentions from joining the space. While in an ideal World we should rely on the consumers ability to decipher and prioritize the long term value projects, the reality that plays out is that investors are lured by the thought of quick and easy profits more than any long term vision.

We inevitably might see some form of regulation in the space (this is happening already actually) and this may not be as bad as I one thought. I don't think regulation can change the landscape of the space and change the power dynamics from the people to governments. I do feel however the need for checks and balances in order to minimize the risk of exposure in the space.

The global markets catch up to even the most responsible of players. The solutions are simple - Increase the number of responsible actors and reduce the number of irresponsible ones, if possible simultaneously. The community has to decide on a general outlook from where we stand and decide where we want to go, and how we intend to shape the space.

Conclusion

As another writer put it, we need a template that works. These things take time but more importantly intent and effort. Maturity is a process and soon greedy people will be taken out of the system.
