Looking back and thinking about all my childhood encounters and connections up till this moment, it is a lot to put together. for someone with a complex and complicated personality such as mine, associating with people is not easy though it comes nature due to my friendly nature, I have always lived the life of bear in most part of my life, I have never been a fan of packs.

Right from my primary school days, I developed the habit of depending on my self for any form of affection or attention, you can say I'm not a fan of relationships. though in some ways most people tends to misunderstand my rigid personality for pride but it wasn't so. I just loved and prefer my own company. most children have the habit of forming groups, some kind of peer groups relationship but I never fit in, for some reason I was just different.

Most children tends to have a general habit but for me it wasn't so, I just find most of their attitude ridiculous, I guess I out grew my age 😂, my level of thinking was above my age, when other children prefer to play with toys, sands and other childish stuff, I prefer to draw, write funny fictional stories and swim, I enjoyed swimming a lot as a kid, then we had a swimming pool at our family house at ketu.

This attitude of mine made my parent worry a lot, I was just weird but eventually I started making friends eventually when I met someone that has similar personality just like mine, I guess the adage was right "Birds of the same feather flocks together" I guess when we meet people with similar personality, we just connect together naturally.

MY FRIENDSHIP ENCOUNTERS THROUGHOUT MY EDUCATIONAL YEARS.

my best friend during my primary school days was Toyosi, a funny looking kid, yeah we both looked funny😂, we both had this girlish stature and appearance. We both attended promise international high school at Ajegunle ketu, it was a private school managed by a couple. Toyosi was my perfect half, he was similar to me in a lot of ways. though he was obsessed with anime. We were both fast writers, we were known for robbing off the board before anyone could finish their note, we got in a lot of trouble for this with our class teacher, the funny thing is, though we were good at causing trouble in class but we have a very low tolerance for punishment😂.

We were together till primary 5, I wrote my common entrance exam in primary 5 ( A requirement for gaining Admission into secondary school), the reason was because my family was relocating to our new house in ikorodu and my parents did not want to leave me behind. immediately after the common entrance result was out, I moved to ikorodu. that was how we lost contact. though I can still remember his face but if we were to meet in the future I don't think I will recognise him.

During my secondary school days I was already a lot more friendly than I was in my primary school. my secondary school life was tough because it was boarding school and this was my first time experiencing a boarding school. There are a lot of chaotic moment in boarding school, with seniors and house/hostel masters.

throughout my JSS1, my closest friend was my brother until JSS2 when Erugo fortune joined us. At first we were not friends because we were from different tribe, he was a typical Igbo guy from Calabar and I'm a Yoruba guy, it was a little different to my friendship with toyosi.

I think our friendship started when our enemy aligned😂 , it was a guy called Ismail a typical bully, it takes pleasure in making people miserable and me and fortune were his favourite 😂, as we grouped against him to free ourselves from his grasp we became closer. he was the only Igbo friend I ever had.

After we graduated from secondary school, fortune got admission in Lagos State Polytechnic and after his National diploma, he decided to pursue his career as a musician. we still keep in touch up till this moment, though our conversation has lessen over the years.

During my tertiary education in Gateway Polytechnic, my closet friend was Mayowa and other people such as Abiodun and danjuma, we were both mass communication student pursuing National diploma certificate.

National diplomaMayowa, Abiodun & I

the program only lasted for two years and we both moved on with our lives.

ND sign out picturesMayowa & I

though the reason was because after our national diploma Mayowa mum died and that really affected is educational career, he decided to work a little before going back to school for his Higher national diploma or Direct entry into a university. at that moment he withdrew from all activities and friends, I called occasionally and I also realise he needed space to cope with the pain, I on the other hand went to moshood abiola Polytechnic to acquire my Higher national diploma certificate

As far as childhood is concerned those are the friends I had, it seems I have the habit of making new friends at every stage of my life😂.
Seeing them again will be nice especially toyosi who I have lost contact with completely, I guess in life as growth commences we out grew some friends which is just a normal thing in life that we have no control over, it is impossible to keep in contact with everyone we knew, we can only try.

Wow, everyone always lose contacts due to moving here and there,it's good you have this pictures but I feel like this isn't actually childhood, the picture I'm seeing here talks more about teenage days or probably adult life.
My view though.

"Special encounters" recheck the title

Not all are childhood friends, some are friends I met during my highschool days that I consider to be special encounters.

Indeed... In every stage you get, you make new friends and the old ones are left behind. I hope you get to revive your relationship with your old pals. I'm sure there will be so much for you all to talk about.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

We meet people in different stages of our life, and if they are truly your friends they are still remembered even if the communication is not the same. Thank you for sharing your article. @bruno-kema I came from #dreemport God bless you!🙏

Indeed it is impossible to keep in contact with everyone we knew at every stage in our life. Some friends will go their separate ways, we can only naturally bond with the ones we can even with a far distance. However, the stories with Ur old friends are really nice and I hope you both gets to see one day . It will surely be a great gist time of the OLD memories

Thanks for sharing

I definitely understand how people could separate and how friendships end due to distance barriers. The stories of your antics with your friends is quite amusing and you bond so nice. Thus, I really hope you guys get to meet and strengthen those bonds once again...

With your story, I remembered my secondary school days.
I lived in Ketu and I went to Agidi Comprehensive High School at Alapere.
