Cristina y el caballo Serafín | Historia [ESP-ENG]

Cristina es una mujer muy hermosa, con cintura delgada, ojos grandes y cabello rubio, nunca se casó y vive en un pueblo del lejano Oeste. Tiene una granja con campos verdes y enormes corrales. El sol está enamorado de ella, ya que es el primero que le abriga en cada amanecer. Por las mañanas se levanta, prepara su taza de café y lo acompaña con queso fresco. Luego alista las monturas para ir a rodear las vacas. Se monta en el caballo Serafín, un amigo muy significativo en su vida, porque ha sido un regalo especial que le hizo su padre antes de morir.
Con el viento acariciando la piel, van de prisa recorriendo los pastizales, sus empleados admiran la fuerza y algarabía que tiene para administrar la granja, por lo general solo descansa cuando le duelan los pies y hombros. Es una mujer que se caracteriza por ser alegre y al mismo tiempo por tener un carácter intrépido, cuando las cosas no funcionan como ella desea.
Cristina suele decir: “El hombre que venga aquí debe sentirse orgulloso de mí, así esté fea, y aunque haya subido unos kilos siga diciendo que me ama, o si un día la comida sale negra, diga que está deliciosa. Necesito un hombre que tenga un buen corazón”. Pues Cristina no simpatizaba con los hombres del pueblo, ya que la mayoría de ellos eran mujeriegos.

De pronto un día salió como de costumbre a rodear el campo. En el camino se encontró con un capitalino que estaba en problemas con su carro. Se había quedado sin gasolina. Por lo que Cristina decidió ayudarlo. Este hombre es Joe y estaba babeando al ver una mujer tan hermosa. Agradecido por ser rescatado, le hizo una invitación a cenar, pero ella se negó, le dijo que no era necesario, y que lo habría hecho con cualquier otra persona.
Pero Joe no se dio por vencido. Rento una habitación por una semana en el hotel del pueblo para poder ir a visitar la granja de Cristina.

Al día siguiente Joe fue a una tienda de ropa vaquera, quiso sorprender a la bella mujer vistiendo un elegante sombrero, botas y pantalón de cuero. Entonces él se mira al espejo y se siente algo desentonado con aquella ropa que acaba de comprar. Hecha unas carcajadas y dice: —Sé que esto funcionará.
Después de todo, Joe logró captar la atención de Cristina. Pasaron los días y resultó ser un excelente cocinero, él la hacía reír y pasaban divirtiéndose como si fuera un amor de primavera. Hasta Serafín aceptó a Joe como su amigo. Si el caballo lo acepta, quiere decir que definitivamente ha pasado la prueba y es un hombre digno. Cristina también estaba feliz, ya no se encontraba sola.
Joe se enamoró de ella, de sus vacas y de los caballos, de todo lo que había que hacer en una granja. Todo iba bien hasta que cierto día, en el atardecer, cayó una tormenta con vientos y relámpagos. Haciendo que los caballos del corral se asusten y terminen escapando. Cristina enseguida fue tras los animales y pidió a Joe que no se preocupara por ella porque todo estaría bien; sin embargo, él tenía un mal presentimiento.
Llegó la noche y Cristina no regresó a casa. Así que fue tras ella, pero no la encontró. Al día siguiente continuó en la búsqueda de su amada. Pasaron tres días desde su desaparición y el dolor aumentaba al no saber nada de ella.

Joe y los rescatistas recorrieron todos los campos, nada más faltaba ir al cerro Taiwán, un lugar muy peligroso con abismos profundos y ríos caudalosos. Cuando se acercaron al sitio se escuchó a un caballo relinchar desesperadamente. Joe reconoció que el ruido venía de Serafín. Se dejó guiar por el caballo y llegaron a una quebrada.
Ahí estaba Cristina sentada sobre una piedra temblando de frío. El cuerpo tenía moretones y golpes en la cabeza. Serafín no se había separado ni un momento de ella y no paraba de relinchar en cuanto olfateó que había gente a su alrededor, para avisar de que estaban ahí.

Llegaron a la casa y Cristina contó lo sucedido. Dijo que tras horas de búsqueda vio que los animales se encontraban acampando al otro lado del río. Y que al tratar de cruzar, la creciente del río aumentó y tumbó a Serafín. Ella había caído sobre una piedra que le dejó inconsciente. Pero que al despertar se encontraba en la orilla del río junto a Serafín. El golpe había hecho que perdiera su visión y Serafín salvó la vida de Cristina.
El estar ciega le permitió experimentar meditaciones que le llevaban a otras dimensiones donde el dolor no existía y un lugar al que pocas personas podían acceder. Se dio cuenta de que era momento de compartir sus ideas y mensajes que habían sido revelados en sus meditaciones. Así que contrató a alguien que escribiera sus ideas.
Escribió las mejores novelas de amor y espiritualidad. Joe se convirtió en los ojos de ella, la cuida, le guía y la protege. Serafín se encarga de darle unas lamidas de vez en cuando. Y así es como nace una familia vaquera. Cristina perdió la vista, pero conoció el verdadero amor y está rodeada de su amigo fiel,Serafín.

Esta es una historia de una mujer que invita a que siempre nos encontremos en movimiento. Demostrando que el dolor es inevitable; pero el sufrimiento es opcional. Cristina la protagonista pudo haber echado a perder sus sueños y su vida después de quedar ciega; sin embargo, no lo hizo. Además, que la vida siempre nos envía ángeles que pueden ayudarnos en los momentos difíciles de nuestras vidas, como Serafín y Joe.

Cristina is a very beautiful woman, with a slim waist, big eyes and blonde hair, never married and lives in a town in the far West. She has a farm with green fields and huge corrals. The sun is in love with her, as it is the first one that shelters her at every sunrise. Cristina gets up, prepares her cup of coffee and accompanies it with fresh cheese. Then she gets the saddles ready to go around the cows. She gets on the horse "Serafín'', a very significant friend in her life, because he was a special gift from her father before he died.
With the wind caressing his skin, they hurry through the pastures. Her employees admire the strength and enthusiasm that Cristina has to manage the farm, usually only resting when her feet and shoulders hurt. Cristina is characterized for being cheerful and at the same time for having a fearless character, when things do not work out as she wishes.
Cristina often says: "The man who comes here should feel proud of me, even if I'm ugly, and even if I've gained a few pounds he still says he loves me, or if one day the food comes out black, he says it's delicious. I need a man who has a good heart ". Cristina did not sympathize with the men of the town, since most of them were womanizers.

Suddenly one day he went out as usual to drive around the countryside. On the way he met a man from the capital who was in trouble with his car. He had run out of gas. So Cristina decided to help him. This man is Joe and he was drooling at the sight of such a beautiful woman. Grateful for being rescued, he made him an invitation to dinner, but Cristina refused, told him it wasn't necessary, and that she would have done it with anyone else.
But Joe didn't give up. He rented a room for a week at the hotel in town so he could go visit Cristina's farm.

The next day Joe went to a denim store, he wanted to surprise the beautiful woman by wearing an elegant hat, boots and leather pants. Then Joe looks in the mirror and feels a bit out of place with the clothes he just bought. He bursts out laughing and says, "I know this will work. After all, Joe managed to get Cristina's attention.
Days went by and he turned out to be an excellent cook, he made her laugh and they spent time having fun as if it were a springtime love affair. Even Serafin accepted Joe as his friend. If the horse accepts him, it means he has definitely passed the test and is a worthy man. Cristina was happy too, she was no longer alone.
Joe fell in love with her, with her cows and horses, with everything there was to do on a farm. Everything was going well until one day, in the evening, a storm came down with winds and lightning. Causing the horses in the corral to panic and end up running away. Cristina immediately went after the animals and asked Joe not to worry about her because everything would be fine; however, he had a bad feeling.
Night came and Cristina did not return home. So he went after her, but did not find her. The next day he continued his search for his beloved. Three days passed since her disappearance and the pain increased as he heard nothing from her.

Joe and the rescuers went through all the fields, but they only had to go to Cerro Taiwan, a very dangerous place with deep chasms and fast-flowing rivers. As they approached the site, they heard a horse neighing desperately. Joe recognized the noise as coming from Serafin. He let the horse guide him and they arrived at a creek.
There Cristina was sitting on a rock shivering from the cold. Her body had bruises and bumps on her head. Serafin had not left her side for a moment and did not stop whinnying as soon as he smelled that there were people around her, to let her know that they were there.

They arrived at the house and Cristina told what had happened. She said that after hours of searching she saw that the animals were camping on the other side of the river. And that while trying to cross, the river's swell increased and knocked Serafin's horse down. She had fallen on a stone that left him unconscious. But when she awoke, she found herself on the river bank next to Serafin. The blow had caused her to lose her vision and Serafin saved Cristina's life.
Being blind allowed her to experience meditations that took her to other dimensions where pain did not exist and a place that few people could access. She realized it was time to share her insights and messages that had been revealed in her meditations. So he hired someone to write down his ideas.
She wrote the best novels of love and spirituality. Joe became her eyes, caring for her, guiding and protecting her. The seraph horse takes it upon himself to give her a few licks now and then. And that is how a cowboy family is born. Cristina lost her sight, but she met true love and is surrounded by her faithful friend, the horse Seraphim.

This is a story of a woman who invites us to always be on the move. Demonstrating that pain is inevitable; but suffering is optional. Cristina the protagonist could have thrown away her dreams and her life after going blind; however, she did not. Also, that life always sends us angels that can help us in the difficult moments of our lives, like the horse Seraphim and Joe.

Es muy cierto, lo cual sucede también en la vida real, muchas de las veces nos quejamos por las situaciones, en especial cuando son momentos difíciles. Pero podemos reinventarnos así como lo hace la protagonista Cristina. Gracias por leer 🤗
Me encantó ésta historia, sentí cada angustia y cada cosa que sucedía mientras leía. Sobre todo ese lindo mensaje, a pesar del dolor y los obstáculos en nuestras vidas hay que seguir adelante así cómo lo hizo Cristina. Y dar las gracias por esas personas que están siempre con nosotros apoyándonos.

Wow, que gran forma de confeccionar una historia vigorosa, sobretodo por el hilo de acontecimientos que llevaron a Joe & Cristina a estar juntos. Percibí esa atmósfera vaquera, hiciste un gran trabajo diseñando el contexto de tu historia. Cuando estaba leyendo y leí: encontraron su cuerpo en... me asusté, pensé que Cristina había muerto. Sin embargo, a pesar de quedar invidente, Joe no se separó de ella. Al fin y al cabo, si pudo encontrar al hombre de sus sueños.
