I don't know the answer to that.... I don't think many people eat it plain. I never have. Usually it is pickled and that is what people eat. Or it is used in sake to give a sweet taste to it.
No worries of you aren't good. Just try. None of us are pros. We are just having fun. Come have fun with us 😃
