The Summer Batch

This summer, I managed a large purchase of assets in a while. I've been saving dried powder for this purpose. For the first time, I decided to pick up an entire troy ounce of gold.

Usually, I only buy a gram at a time due to budget constraints. While the premium on one gram of gold is pretty high, I could only dollar cost average so much at a time.

I also picked up some silver coins from different government mints. Some are replacements for the cash I gave my child in the red packets for Lunar New Year. I didn't get Silver Eagles and Libertads since they are still relatively expensive compared to their counterparts. I may dive into some of them and tie them into current events later.

Of course, this is not the entire package. I found some silver collectibles that would serve better in another post without making this one a photo dump. Stay tuned.

Aside from precious metals, I did pick up more crypto. While regulation has been ambiguous here in the US, I think we are heading in a better direction. The precedent set by the XRP case should give other projects a fighting chance. However, I don't expect the massive pump to sustain for long. We are still in a bear market before the BTC halving in 2025.

Overall, it's been a productive summer in terms of accumulating.

Sweet, nothing like the feel of a one ounce bar in your hand! Except maybe a ten ounce bar! That's some awesome stuff you picked up!

Very cool pickup! I'd love to buy some gold. I'm a little hesitant because besides the price, I know there will be a hassle if I ever have to take it through customs, say if I move back to the States. But mainly the price. If Hive goes up substantially in the next bull run, I may put some of the profit in gold.

I think $10k is the limit for US custom right now.
