What are you doing with your liquid HIVE?

Oh boy, is this where you have envisioned Hive to be with all the DeFi and wrapping parties? Many people have anticipated this for some time now.

So, how are you feeling? Are you feeling disappointed? Each cash out becoming less and less? If you were holding out for a pump, are your hands getting weaker?

I have never shown the same level of optimism as some of the more popular folks on the platform. Despite that, HIVE had been part of my monthly crypto purchases. I used to power up between 50-60% of each batch I buy.

Nowadays, I power up 100 or so HP and leave the rest liquid. The liquid coins are then moved into places like @dcitygame for my own amusement. Why? Well, it is my opinion that HIVE won't pump any time soon. In fact, it's a downward spiral until major changes happen. This is why I have been liberal with my liquid HIVE spending.

The only things that dropped faster than HIVE prices have been the dumps on the so called yield farming. But hey, I digress.

Some may see opportunities. Some may seem discouraged. Some most likely don't even care about the price. Some will continue on shitposting. Now, back to my initial question.

What are you doing with your liquid HIVE?

  • Sell them ASAP

  • Power up 100%

  • Keep some. Sell some.

  • Use them for services, games, Hive Engine, etc.

  • Nothing. Just hodling.

  • Other (please specify)

Mostly holding for a while then powering up. need to change HBD (probably). Bought some 2 weeks ago, to pass the 10.000 line, maybe i should buy some more.
Not really planing to sell at the moment, so maybe i should power it all up.

I've been powering everything up for the most part since we've moved to HIVE. I'm just starting to keep a small percentage liquid, but I'm not selling unless there's an emergency of some sort. The way things have been, who knows. It's nice to know there is that safety net if needed.

I consistently convert HBD to HIVE at these prices too. Take advantage of the cheap price while we have it I guess.

I need to look into dcity, I keep hearing a lot of interesting stuff about that. I have been spending some on Splinterlands from time to time. I bought a little BEER to stake. Started buying some ENGAGE to. Nothing major, but I'll add to those bags and try to earn some residual income if I can.

The only way I'll sell anything is if there's an emergency or the price rockets up over a dollar or 2. I'm not expecting that to happen anytime soon, so I'm in serious powerup and accumulation mode.

Currently probably powering up 75% and keeping 25% liquid in case of emergency.

I just started staking BEER not sure if I have any to call but I'll give it a try. Sorry if it doesn't work. Cheers.

I play dcity and hold my liquid.

I keep looking for Marketing, promotion or a vision so I can return to my former state of optimism, while Hive is young, it is also old...

A plan or vision should start to emerge, no marketing page, github looks odd, I have no idea where a potential investor would find information if they did some how want to check it out.

I used some for Leases and others for buying tokens on HE.

I can’t do leases cause I like to retain my own power too much.

Well no reason to sell, so might as well use it on other various tokens that bring in some decent $.

I was powering everything up til I got to my main mission of getting to HIVE Orca and achieved that a couple of days ago so happy days!

Now I'm looking to use the liquid Hive from my delegations (mostly to to buy Hive engine tokens and see how it goes there.

I guess I'm the only fool still thinking this is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to build their stack...

Yeah, that is pretty sad. Steem isn't much better but their price seems to be hanging on a little more. What do you think needs to change at Hive so the price will go up?

May be too late by this point. The momentum has passed.

There are myriads of things that should have occurred.

The momentum from the Hard Fork or the momentum from 2017?

I’ve lost a lot of my enthusiasm for Hive and Steem-based chains in general with everything that has been happening. It’s like you say, things need to change for me to get back into it. I don’t really sell, but I’ve been spending more on games and on buying some HE tokens that I think have some potential.

The liquid I do get at times I use on services, or whatever comes to mind. I am trying to get things more into Uniswap or something because in my head I need to do that. Don't ask why. There is stuff happening ok.

I always power up everything and convert the HBD to HIVE as soon as possible. Yes, I could wait for the markets to give me better prices but every day holding on liquid Hive is Curation rewards lost...

Hive won't pump like other coins do, so we might as well just power it up and increase our curation rewards.

Always power up. More HP I have, more fun I have. I like to spread it around. Never planned to get rich or pay a bill with Hive. It's just something I do. Maybe, someday, it will take off. And maybe it won't. Whatever happens, I'm hanging on.
