My Experience with the Recorder and my Rising Star Report 8/22/2023

How many of you had your first experience with a musical instrument on the recorder? As a child, I played the recorder, acoustic guitar, hand bells during the holiday season and the drums casually.
Most American students will take musical education, and the recorder is the most common instrument they will learn on. According to market information from Music Arts, over 100,000 recorders are sold annually in the USA. The Baroque period of music was emphasized in the 1950s, and the instrument was manufactured using plastic, making it cheap and plentiful that led to its proliferation.
I remember the recorder being easy to play, and it did introduce me to string instruments and precession instruments as well. I did not enjoy the recorder, but it did teach me basics of scales, and I am glad overall that it was part of my development. Did you start on a recorder or play one? What is your opinion on the instrument?
My Rising Star Report- 8/22/2023:
I finally did it. I moved on to the next game zone after purchasing a guitar NFT. I was a bit confused about this, but finally went on the NFT marketplace and went ahead with the purchase.
I played the first mission, and am glad to be on the “Gig Circuit”. It’s a big step from playing Saturday Headliners to the first level in a new game zone. I need to level up, and being level 25 now seems low. I plan on working on the first zone and periodically undertaking music lessons to boost my payouts and to reduce my overall ego score.

There was something on the news here in the UK the other day saying that less and less children are playing the recorder here now. Every kid used to play it at school when I grew up. I was hopeless at it!
Wow. Times are changing. I remember playing the recorder because it was cheap.
