ENGLISH

The Crazy Painter, a story about the value of people

Faced with such a terrifying situation, everyone ran to the high areas where the crops were to try to save themselves from the danger coming from the sea. Musag and her father also ran while she, with tears in her eyes, saw how all her painting work was left behind in the small thatched cottage that the sea would surely destroy without any problem, completely destroying her dreams.

They were hours of anguish, no doubt, everyone could see how the tsunami swept away the entire hamlet in a few minutes, leaving only a trail of destruction and debris, but fortunately everyone was alive. The next day Musag arrived at what was once his father's house, which was now just a pile of stones, screaming and crying, he tried to dig with his hands through the mud to look for his paintings until his fingers were full of blood, but he could not find anything, the sea had taken them all away.

While the sun brought with it the dawn of a new day, on the horizon, the figure of a very luxurious and modern ship was seen coming towards the island, that excited all the people affected by the disaster, no doubt it was the ship of the Sultan of the mainland who came to bring them help, aware of their misfortunes, The majestic ship dropped anchor nearby and a smaller but equally luxurious boat brought to the small port a royal retinue with water, food and medicine for all, which caused great joy among the people who had lost everything.

The prince also told them that they would help them to rebuild their houses with materials that came in another boat, but before concluding his speech he asked who is Musag, which caused surprise and confusion among everyone and someone pointed out with contempt is the madwoman of the people, the one who is there crying with her hands full of blood looking for her garbage.

The prince left the crowd behind walking alone to where the humble girl was, before the surprised look of everyone present in that place, the prince knelt down next to her to ask her what she was looking for, Musag ignorant of who she was talking to only answered without raising her head while she continued digging, my paintings, the sun and the sea are my life, I can't let them get lost.

The prince put a hand on her shoulder and asked her to calm down and putting his other hand on her chin made her look up to see her smile while he told her how her paintings had floated to the nearby coast reaching the hands of her father the Sultan, who was amazed with them and remembered that there were people living on the island so he decided to send him to help the people and also to look for her with the idea that she would become the main painter of the museum in the palace of the capital.

The local people understood the hard way that one should not reject a person just for being different, much less exclude or attack them, thanks to Musag's paintings they were able to save their lives and rebuild their village. Now the girl lives happily in the palace where she enjoys painting things for the royal family.
