The Battle of the Beanstalk, from War to Peace

The story goes that a long, long, long time ago a great war was fought of which almost no one has memories, it was such a tragic event that, somehow, modern technology through radio waves helped to erase those events from people's minds, but nevertheless, there are still those who preferred to keep them, to be alert in case it happened again.

Apparently at a certain time an evil leader took over the government because he wanted to ban coffee beans, which did not seem good to the people, since his population was one of the largest consumers of coffee in the world, this president could not drink coffee because he was allergic, he was very selfish and evil, so much so that it became famous a story that as a child, he was playing with his cousins, and they would not let him touch the ball, so he grabbed a pair of scissors and punched the ball so that no one else would play. That's how evil this character was.

Well they were very hard years, from the shadows people resisted the orders of this tyrant, they armed something that was called the resistance, a united front of citizens that finally unleashed a great war with thousands of affected individuals, but the defense of coffee and with it the freedom of the people to decide what to take in their lives was fundamental, so little by little this movement was winning battles, until reaching a final stage, where the last troops of the government defenders, were concentrated on a hill around the presidential palace, while the crowd marched in the streets protesting and advancing towards this place, which had been assigned the code name of the bean, hence the battle fought that day, is known as the battle of the bean.

My grandfather was there, he tells me in detail everything that happened, so that I will always be attentive and defend my freedom no matter that the rest of the world decided to forget it. According to the tender old man, on the hill was concentrated all the military might of the government, reason why the citizens could never win a normal battle with the few weapons they had, so they preferred to bet on peace and make a peaceful protest, with which they aspired to convince the troops to lay down their weapons and surrender the dictator.

The strategy was simple, but ingenious, they used the best weapon they had, something so powerful that it is capable of creating historical events, I am referring of course to our beloved coffee. The people surrounded the entire hill in the late afternoon, but instead of attacking, they simply decided to sit on the ground and began to make bonfires before the surprised gaze of the soldiers as night fell, the citizens did not have a single weapon, so as not to tempt the soldiers to do something crazy that would end badly without a doubt, for hours they told jokes and played, while the military in a constant state of alert felt more and more thirsty, without food and sleepy, since obviously they could not drink coffee.

Around 4 o'clock in the morning, the leader of the resistance ordered that in each bonfire they began to pour coffee, I am talking about at least 500 bonfires, with thousands of people in each one of them drinking coffee, this undoubtedly filled the whole atmosphere around the palace with an exquisite aroma of freshly brewed coffee, In a few minutes the aroma invaded the entire interior of the palace, reaching the presidential office where a leader highly allergic to coffee was trembling with fear and anxiety, before the disaster that he himself had provoked.

The president knew that the support of the military for his madness would not last long and that finally the people of the country, fueled by the hope that coffee brought to their lives, would conquer victory. So he waited no longer and made the most difficult decision of his life, with the first rays of dawn illuminating the sky, the terrible president decided to raise the white flag of surrender at the government palace, sealing the triumph of the resistance in what is known today as the battle of the bean.

The president knows that only him can not make a forest, the poeple alone was using a very tricky technique that would have easily conquer the minds of his soldier's with time but I see that he was really intelligent enough to be the one to raise the flag and not wait to be overthrow by his citizen for having a devilish mindset.

I was really touched by the part he punch his cousins ball with a pair of scissors when they did not allowed him to play the ball, that was really bad of him, but it was great to know that, such a thing didn't happen in the battle of the beans, he was defeated and coffee consumption was allowed.

Hello, so is a single person, he cannot rule a country and people were tired of so many wars, that brought more suffering and destruction to the nation, so they decided to use psychology to make the soldiers join them and peacefully defeat the evil dictator.

He was very selfish and in his thinking was if I don't play no one else will and I hurt the ball, likewise he thought with coffee if I can't drink it because of allergy no one else will.

The good thing is that he surrendered without using weapons and peace came to that country.

Thank you very much for reading my story.

Smart idea to use coffee in that way against a tyrannical leader.

Hello, yes it was an excellent idea, while the soldiers were exhausted in eternal guard, the people were active, since they were drinking a lot of coffee and using its aroma to attack psychologically and in the end the result was as expected.
