Mi colección de búhos en llavero está creciendo, están esperando ser adoptados.
Hoy practiqué con estas combinaciones de colores, entre color rosa pálidos y marrón, para llegar a ciertas tonalidades claras me tocó combinar hasta lograr lo que quería.
He tardado en publicar, los cortes de servicio eléctrico me lo han impedido, pero hago mi mayor esfuerzo en no darme por vencida y compartir, además esto lo disfruto mucho y lo hago con mucho amor.

Hello everyone!
My collection of owl key rings is growing – they’re just waiting to be adopted.
Today I experimented with these colour combinations – pale pinks and browns – and to achieve certain light shades I had to keep mixing until I got the result I wanted.
It’s taken me a while to post this – power cuts have been getting in the way – but I’m doing my best not to give up and to keep sharing; besides, I really enjoy this and put a lot of love into it.

La verdad es que... generalmente hago esto cuando no hay servicio eléctrico y eso es casi todo el día, o sino, toda la noche, aquí pasan de 9 horas sin electricidad, aunque esté la luz del día la claridad es deficiente, así que hice mi mejor esfuerzo y me compré un bombillo recargable, eso me ayudó mucho.
Volviendo con la hechura de mi búho de hoy, mezclé dos colores para que el rosa fuera más pálido y lo es, solo que por la poca iluminación no se ve mucho la diferencia en la foto (o tal vez sean mis ojos), luego de mezclar, hago una bolita y la aplano con la tapa.
Con la herramienta de corte hago un corte para formar las orejas, luego moldeo cada una.
Moldeo una bolita pequeña y aplano lo más que pueda, con una herramienta de cortar formas, hago un corte del tamaño del cuerpo del búho y con ello formo lo que será la panza, aplico pegamento y lo pego en el lugar correspondiente.

The truth is… I usually do this when there’s no electricity, which is almost all day, or else all night; here we go without electricity for over nine hours, and even when it’s daylight, the lighting’s poor, so I did my best and bought a rechargeable lamp, which helped me a lot.
Getting back to making my owl today, I mixed two colours to make the pink paler – and it is paler – but because of the poor lighting, you can’t really see the difference in the photo (or perhaps it’s just my eyes). After mixing, I roll the clay into a small ball and flatten it with the lid.
Using the cutting tool, I make a cut to shape the ears, then mould each one.
I shape a small ball and flatten it as much as I can. Using a shaping tool, I cut out a piece the size of the owl’s body and use it to form what will be the belly. I apply glue and stick it in the right place.

No podía avanzar sin pegar los ojos, así que moldeé dos bolitas y las pegué en la sección correspondiente.
Tomo dos bolitas del mismo tamaño de foami color marrón, este foami también mezclé para que fuera un color más claro. Moldeo una especie de triángulo y con la herramienta de cortar presiono haciendo dos hendiduras, con ello formo lo que serán las alas.
Los detalles que le agregué luego fue un lazo pequeño sobre una oreja y unas flores blancas que pinté que para darle textura amasé unas bolitas muy pequeñas para pegarlas como centro de la flor.
Con el pincel de bolita y pinto las flores, y presiono para hacer costura, de la misma forma unos especie de botones que van en el área de las alas.

I couldn’t carry on without sticking on the eyes, so I shaped two little balls and stuck them in the right place.
I took two balls of the same size made from brown foam; I’d also mixed this foam to make it a lighter colour. I shaped it into a sort of triangle and, using the cutting tool, pressed down to make two indentations, thereby forming what would become the wings.
The details I added afterwards were a small bow on one ear and some white flowers that I painted; to give them texture, I rolled some very small balls to stick on as the centres of the flowers.
Using the ball-tipped brush, I painted the flowers and pressed down to create stitching; in the same way, I made some sort of buttons to go on the wing area.

Introduzco con un poco de pegamento, la aguja con aro en el centro de las orejas.
Un poquito de fe, confiando en el proceso, me faltaba la nariz y las patitas, todavía no se le veía buena forma, cuando pegué el triángulo en la nariz estaba dando un toque de ternura que con los ojitos cerrados y felices de dio la personalidad que buscaba. Las patitas son dos cilindros, que luego de pegarlos en el cuerpo del búho les hago unos cores para formar los deditos.
Con el anillo abro la argolla y la paso por la aguja con aro, luego introduzco la cadena del llavero y cierro el aro. es bueno dejar secar bien la pieza para hacer esto.

I insert the needle with the eye into the centre of the ears, using a little glue.
With a little faith, trusting in the process – I still needed to add the nose and the little feet, and it didn’t quite look right yet – when I stuck the triangle onto the nose, it added a touch of tenderness which, combined with the closed, happy little eyes, gave it the personality I was looking for. The little feet are two cylinders; after sticking them onto the owl’s body, I make little dots to form the toes.
Using the ring, I open the loop and thread it through the needle with the eye, then I thread the key ring chain through and close the loop. It’s best to let the piece dry thoroughly before doing this.

You’re building up quite a collection, and this owl in particular is absolutely adorable. What’s more, the colour combination you’ve chosen is very elegant, the colours complement each other rather than clash, although contrasting colours aren’t bad either, like green and red, or purple and yellow. It’s true that when you do the eyes, the piece really comes to life; that happens to me when I paint faces, it’s almost the first thing I do.
Stay patient with the power cuts, I know they’re a bit of a pain and can really get you down. I’ve loved what you’ve brought along today, here’s to lots more keyrings and plenty of sales!! Big hug!💗
