Tomé una prenda de vestir viejita que tenia que me gustaba mucho, la descosí por completo y la usé de patrón, aquella se parece mucho al modelo que tenía en mente solo que estaba mas corta, el largo dependía entonces del largo de la tela que es un metro. Tomé cada pieza y puse cada uno sobre mi tela y recorté.

Corto el centro de la pieza delantera para colocar el cierre y por allí empezó el problema...

Procedí a coser, cuando cosí el cierre, se veía bastante mal hecho, terrible de verdad, busqué mil formas de repararlo pero fueron fallidas todas, más bien de tanto descoser y volver a coser estaba dañando tanto el cierre como la tela.

Cerré los hombros y cuando me puse la prenda para verla, tenía terribles defectos en los hombros y espalda, no entendí porque yo usé de patrón una prenda de vestir que me quedaba bien, solo que ya estaba muy desgastada.

Traté de reparar el error, corté nuevamente la parte de los hombros y cosí, solo empeoré el asunto.

Descosí todo lo que ya había adelantado.

Afortunadamente la tela era de sobra, por lo que tomé otra prenda que es la que siempre uso para cortar los modelos cuello alto y corté siguiendo la misma, sacrifiqué al menos unos 0.40 centímetros de tela y honestamente no tenía esperanzas que quedara bien, la tela tiende a arrucharse sola en mi máquina.

I took an old garment I had that I liked a lot, I unpicked it completely and used it as a pattern, that one was very similar to the model I had in mind only it was shorter, the length depended then on the length of the fabric which is one meter. I took each piece and placed each one on my fabric and cut out.


I cut the center of the front piece to place the zipper and that's where the problem started....


I proceeded to sew, when I sewed the zipper, it looked pretty bad, terrible really, I looked for a thousand ways to repair it but they were all failed, rather from so much unpicking and re-stitching it was damaging both the zipper and the fabric.


I closed the shoulders and when I put on the garment to see it, it had terrible defects in the shoulders and back, I did not understand because I used as a pattern a garment that fit me well, it was just that it was already very worn.


I tried to repair the mistake, I cut again the shoulder part and sewed, I only made the matter worse.


I unstitched everything I had already sewn.


Fortunately there was plenty of fabric, so I took another garment which is the one I always use to cut the turtleneck models and cut along the same, I sacrificed at least 0.40 centimeters of fabric and honestly I had no hope that it would look good, the fabric tends to wrinkle by itself in my machine.
