Flower pot with a flower made from mouldable foam (Esp/Eng)

¡Hola comunidad!
Hoy hice algo diferente, se me ocurrió intentar hacer una maceta con flores de foami moldeable ¡Jajaja! No sé por qué creí que iba a ser fácil, pero no lo es, el material como les dije en post anteriores, a penas se toca pierde su forma, igual lo intenté y me gustó el resultado.
Grabé mi proceso en vídeo pero por cuestiones de servicio eléctrico y tiempo no pude editarlo, son muchas horas de edición, las horas con el servicio eléctrico no son muchas tristemente. Igual disfrute de mi manualidad, aprovechando esas horas que nos pausan la vida... Es mejor hacer algo constructivo y distraer la mente.
Esta manualidad la tengo reservada para obsequiarla a mi hijo menor la pondrá en su escritorio junto a su computadora, estoy esperando seque completamente para dárselo.
Les cuento cómo lo hice, espero que les guste.

Today I did something a bit different – I had the idea of trying to make a flowerpot out of mouldable foam. Hahaha! I don’t know why I thought it would be easy, but it isn’t. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, the material loses its shape as soon as you touch it, but I gave it a go anyway and I liked the result.
I filmed the process on video, but due to power cuts and a lack of time, I haven’t been able to edit it yet – it takes hours to edit, and sadly we don’t have many hours when the power’s on. Still, I enjoyed my craft project, making the most of those hours when life comes to a standstill… It’s better to do something constructive and take your mind off things.
I’ve set this craft aside as a present for my youngest son; he’ll put it on his desk next to his computer. I’m waiting for it to dry completely before I give it to him.
I’ll tell you how I made it; I hope you like it.

Dentro del pote plástico que servirá de maceta, introduzco un poco de arena para darle peso y luego lo tapo con anime fijándolo con pegamento.
Forro el pote con foami moldeable color marrón, extendiendo la masa y luego ajustándola en el pote, corto los sobrantes de foami.
Realizo una tapa con foami color verde y la pego en la parte superior.
Luego, hago una tirita para colocarla en todo el borde de la parte superior.
Con la herramienta hago textura en la tapa y corto un trozo de palito de altura.

Inside the plastic pot that will serve as a plant pot, I put in a little sand to weigh it down and then cover it with anime, securing it with glue.
I line the pot with brown mouldable foam, rolling out the foam and then moulding it to fit the pot, before trimming off any excess.
I make a lid out of green foam and stick it onto the top.
Next, I make a strip to go all the way round the top edge.
Using the tool, I create a textured finish on the lid and cut a piece of stick to the right height.

Forro el palito de altura y presiono en el anime fijándolo de la maceta.
Realizo las dos hojitas y le doy forma a las nervaduras, luego pego cada una de cada lado del palito de altura.
Moldeo 5 bolitas del mismo tamaño de foami color amarillo.

I wrap the stick around the pot and press it into place, securing it to the pot.
I make the two little leaves and shape the veins, then stick each one on either side of the stick.
I shape five small balls of the same size from yellow foam.

Coloco las bolitas de color amarillo en forma de estrella y con ayuda de alguna herramienta o plato, aplano un poco para que de forma a la flor.
Repito el procedimiento con la pieza central de la flor, esta debe ser una para adelante y la otra par ala parte de atrás.
Pego la flor ya formada al palito de altura forrado.
Con marcadores agrego detalles a toda la pieza.

I arrange the yellow beads in a star shape and, using a tool or a plate, flatten them slightly to shape the flower.
I repeat the process with the centre piece of the flower; one should be for the front and the other for the back.
I stick the finished flower onto the lined lollipop stick.
I use felt-tip pens to add details to the whole piece.
