I just love drawing her!

This is another Alice Vink artwork.

I have talked about it before, but I would say it again -- Alice Vink may actually be one of the faces I find quite easy to sketch. Because of that, she's also one of the faces I love drawing. If you look far enough into my profile, you would see pieces of Alice Vink artworks. Her eyes are just simply beautiful, and they make me want to draw them!

This piece that I'm sharing today is a portrait I drew of her based on this reference photo. Don't be surprised if one day, you'll find that I drew her again. 😅

About the drawing

This is the first time in a while that I'm drawing in landscape. A couple of drawings ago, I decided to work on illustrations in portrait mode because I want my PeakD grid profile to look equally distributed. Of course, certain situations can make me draw in landscape mode, and this is one of them!

I definitely took my time working on this one. Normally, my works last less than 5 hours. This one took me more than 6 hours, maybe. The hands are the culprit: before, I hated drawing them. There came a time when I loved them. Today, I realize that I didn't have the patience to go through them meticulously, so I now apologize for the sorry attempt that are the hands.

There's something I worked very diligently on, though. It's the right eye!

It definitely felt like drawing an eye in anime style, so it was pretty fun. I accidentally chose a bluer color on the right eye (I was looking for a more saturated one), but I ended up liking the difference in eye color, so I didn't really bother fixing it.

Below, you can watch a quick progress GIF of this artwork.

I'm honestly pretty proud of how it turned out. In fact, I was so excited, I ended up sending it to my big sister -- I only do this when I'm excited about an out put LOL. I hope you also like it!

Notes

I can't still get to make artworks reguarly, but I'm trying! I have a lot more free time on my hands now, though most of the time, I'm just generally fatigued (from bad everyday commute experience here in Metro Manila).

Have you been well?

This actually looks the most relaxed piece out of the ones you've made in the past months. It looks softer

omggg i'm so happy someone (you!!) actually noticed! and it's very interesting that you see it as relaxed, because truly, i was a lot more calmed down while working ont this. i've been rushing my drawings in the last few months that they came out with haphazard strokes, but i took my sweet time on this time and made the extra effor to make sure everything was a lot smoother. 💕

You know what they say about artists, what you draw reflects your mood and the fact that you admitted to a more relaxed mood proved it. I was pretty sure you had more down time when you made this UwU so you managed to refine it a lot more compared to the ones before Because this one really has more mood build up
