#86 In times of trouble, there are 3 in my life. "Who is the first person you would call when you are in trouble?"

Writing has always made me feel more connected with my thoughts, my emotions and it has made things easier in saying things I needed and wanted to say.

About our community #contest on 'Who is the first person you would call when you are in trouble?', I honestly have 3 people I choose from in my life; and, it depends on the situation, then I decide which person I have to call.

In this case, the first person I would call would be my husband (since my mom has gone back to the #Philippines and retired).

My husband always supports me in everything that I believe in, the things that I love to do, ambitions that I have. He too has his own dreams in life, and the best part is we always meet halfway. Though life does not have a smooth road, we are blessed to keep our life simple.

When I am feeling anxious, worried and cannot focus, I immediately call Aldrin. He will surely get a call from me either crying or me asking him to stop whatever it is he is doing and start praying for me.

Our prayers keep us alert, out of trouble, and away from evil. I am also less gullible as he is continuously influencing me and teaching me how to be wise.

My second person to call if I were in trouble (again, only because my mom has retired), would be my best friend Marilyn.

I thank GOD for this woman in my life. Marilyn was a colleague and I had met her when we were hiring for an accountant. We never expected we were going to be each other's confidants. Haha! Actually, it was through her sister that I got to blogging here on #Hive.

Marilyn and I are like Periwinkle and Tinkerbell. In times of trouble, we are prepared to protect each other's welfare. It's true that we have a lot of close friends, however, not all will be there in times of trouble. Especially when it comes to finances, or time and effort to spare. Marilyn has been there for me and like my husband she is also very supportive of the decisions I make for my future.

Finally, my mother 'Mommy Dorie'. The one person GOD has trusted to take care of me and raise me into who I am now. Mommy is a single parent. Tough, clever and strong-hearted woman.

Of course, not all mothers are always ready. We've seen many stories out there wherein many have failed. However, my mother tried everything she could to always keep me out of trouble.
The worst part of my life was being behind bars for something we had already rectified and yet the consequences of my irresponsibility caught up with me.

Old and being a single parent, who suffered from a stroke, followed my case closely until she got me out. That was one of the worst experiences in my life. If I hadn't told her of my trouble, we would not have been able to adjust and the consequences could have been worse.

We take a lot of people in our lives for granted. We forget even those who have just appeared out of nowhere and had helped us in time of need.
It is a good thing we write and go through flashbacks thinking about those people in our lives.

I am thankful for the many lessons I have learned from those times feeling like it was my darkest moment and being able to come out from those situations. Because I had people in my life: my husband who prays earnestly for me, my best friend Marilyn who would finds ways to give, and my mother who never missed a chance to be one step ahead to protect me.
So I am able to Rise up again and again and again for they are my blessings from our Creator, our GOD Almighty.

Thanks #Hive for this community contest. I enjoyed writing about the people who care about me, and remembering others who were there at one point in my life.
