We Made It! Wedding Day February 23, 2021.

Hi Ya'll.
I'm back! And Yes, WE MADE IT!!!

Here's my #FreeWrite and just a bit of what happened before that day.

We were very rushed, a lot of running about here and there.
Shopping, and visiting close friends who we invited to the wedding.
Thank goodness the marriage seminar was online.
It was for 4 days and so we saved taxi fair instead of going and attending physically, we just logged in from our homes.

I think the hardest part was the processing for marriage application.
When we submitted our papers, my birth certificate wasn't clear as it was really old and the admin from the embassy requested for a clearer copy and proof that the municipality of where I was born had the true copy.
The issue was, I had no more relatives in the city where I was born and worse - I am currently residing here in the UAE, how was I going to get the proof.
By GOD's Grace @michellpiala lived in the same area and once again she helped me to get to one of my most important days in my life. Had I not known her, I wouldn't reach the date set for my wedding.

The 2nd test of patience and character was when I tried on my wedding dress. Oh boy!!! If you were my heart, you would know how depressed I got. I regretted so much that I didn't go on a diet even though I planned to exercise and lose weight. Of course the first try, the tailor would not tighten things up with the dress, there was a big allowance so that we could make changes if we needed any. During these moments, I couldn't see the beauty of my wedding dress and thought it was poorly made. But I didn't cry.
That same night, I had asked nicely for the tailor to buy some more lace and put a shape on the dress.

Here I am, walking down the aisle...

Sorry, my face looked down to see where I was going. Hahahah!!!

Here we are...

After the wedding, we spent 2 nights at the hotel where we checked in and right after checking out, we moved to our new apartment.

I am very happy, thankful and content.

Thank you so much for dropping by again.

Love lots,
Erela

P.S.
I missed out on the Blogging Challenge #marryclb by @crossculture to post about Marriage Celebrations.
These are awesome ways to get connected in the Hive Communities.
