The candles for my family flickers with the rest

At 52, even as I stand as a non-religious, I still observe life's intricate tapestry, yet my heart is woven with an unwavering faith in the well-being of my family. The cathedral's architecture, a testament to human ingenuity, captivates me—each stone whispering tales of centuries past.
As I light the candle, its flame dances in tandem with the shadows cast by the ancient walls. In this sacred space, devoid of rigid doctrines, I find a haven for reflection. Life, much like the intricate carvings that adorn Notre Dame, is a masterpiece of highs and lows, challenges and triumphs. My fervent wish, as the flame illuminates my face, is for the health and strength of those dearest to me.
The year 2023 has unfolded with its share of trials—a relentless storm that has tested the resilience of families and communities. Yet, here in the quiet sanctuary of Notre Dame, I choose to kindle a flame of hope. It symbolizes my optimism for the future, a beacon that transcends religious boundaries and taps into the shared human desire for a brighter tomorrow.
Gazing at the vaulted ceiling above, I reflect on the interconnectedness of all our lives. The beauty of Notre Dame's architecture serves as a metaphor for the intricate bonds that weave us together—strong, resilient, and enduring.
