Tonight's Edmonton Oilers vrs New York Islanders is postponed

The Edmonton Oilers were to take on the New York Islanders tonight

in Edmonton but due to Covid limits on how many folks can get into the arena

the NHL postponed the game.

This might just work out well for the Oilers

The following players have been added to the COVID list:

Kailer Yamamoto
Evan Bouchard
Slater Koekkoek
Brendan Perlini
Ilya Konovalov

as well as six members of the support staff.

they join Connor McDavid, Tyson Barrie and Derek Ryan in COVID-19 Protocol

The Oilers next game as far as we know right now is Monday in Edmonton

and take on Ottawa.

No news yet as to whether any of the players on the protocol list will be able to play

Monday or not.
