¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Las preguntas de la semana son sobre lo ocurrido con el trágico terremoto que azotó Venezuela. Estas nos hacen reflexionar sobre lo qué podemos ofrecer para ayudar en un momento como ese, estemos o no en el país. La iniciativa es de @chacald.dcymt, y agradezco a mi amiga @naath por la invitación a participar.

Si tuvieras la oportunidad, ¿qué harías por aquellas personas que salvaron la vida de niños o por quienes no se cansan de llevar ayuda a los supervivientes durante el reciente terremoto en Venezuela?

Esas personas se merecen toda la energía y la luz del mundo. No es tarea fácil, muchas veces deben sentirse agobiados y tristes, requiere mucha fortaleza tanto física como emocionalmente. Aparte deben ver situaciones que no son nada buenas, pero aún así deciden darlo todo para salvar al mayor número de personas y animales posible.

Así que creo que desde mi lado estaría bien reconocer y agradecer su misión. Mandarles todas mis energías y fortalezas para que no bajen los brazos. Además de que sería genial que recibieran la debida atención ya que es una tarea peligrosa también para ellos, que estén bien cuidados y alimentados para que se mantengan fuertes. Y sobre todo, brindarles apoyo a nivel psicológico que será muy necesario. También rezar mucho por todos ellos y por las personas afectadas.

¿Cómo podemos mantener abierta la posibilidad de recibir donaciones de otros países...?

Bueno, yo me encuentro en otro país, soy de Argentina, y cuando me enteré de los terremotos después de que vi las noticias en los medios locales, lo primero que hice es mandarle mensajes a mi amiga Naath para preguntar si estaba bien y los suyos también. Hablo con varias personas de Venezuela acá en Hive, pero con ninguna tengo un diálogo tan directo como con ella. Así que me quedé más tranquila cuando me contó que ella y su familia estaban bien.

Puedo decir que, a pesar de todas las cosas que se estuvieron diciendo los últimos días sobre mi país, es muy solidario y su gente siempre envía ayuda en todo lo que se necesite. Acá inmediatamente se activó la acción de donar dinero a los damnificados y muchos compartimos en las redes sociales tradicionales toda la información posible para enviar ayuda tanto de dinero como de lo que sea. Ante las catástrofes que suceden en el mundo, y más con nuestros hermanos latinoamericanos, siempre estamos dispuestos a ayudar y dar hasta lo poco que tengamos. Es algo de lo que siempre me hizo sentir orgullo de mi país y ojalá nunca nos saquen esto. Aunque realmente espero y confío en que esas donaciones hayan llegado a las personas adecuadas, se que los sitios a los cuales donar fueron verificados y nos hicimos eco de esa información, así que espero que la ayuda siga llegando de todos los lugares posible.

Bueno amigos, hasta acá mi pequeña reflexión acerca de este tema. Sé que las perdidas materiales duelen y son difíciles de sobrellevar, pero se puede salir adelante y empezar de nuevo. Les envió toda la luz.

Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you’re all doing very well. This week’s questions are about the tragic earthquake that struck Venezuela. They make us reflect on what we can do to help at a time like this, whether or not we’re in the country. This initiative was started by @chacald.dcymt, and I’d like to thank my friend @naath for inviting me to participate.

If given the opportunity, what would you do for those who saved the lives of children or those who never tire of getting aid to the survivors, during the recent earthquake in Venezuela?

These people deserve all the energy and light in the world. It’s no easy task; they must often feel overwhelmed and sad, and it requires a great deal of strength—both physical and emotional. On top of that, they have to witness situations that are far from pleasant, yet they still choose to give it their all to save as many people and animals as possible.

So I think it would be good for me to acknowledge and express my gratitude for their mission. I want to send them all my energy and strength so they don’t give up. It would also be great if they received the attention they deserve, since this is a dangerous task for them as well; they need to be well cared for and fed so they can stay strong. And above all, they need psychological support, which will be essential. I’ll also pray a lot for all of them and for the people affected.

How can we keep the door open for donations from other countries so Venezuela can buy blankets and flashlights for the child survivors who are in a difficult situation?

Well, I'm in another country—I'm from Argentina—and when I heard about the earthquakes after seeing the news in the local media, the first thing I did was send messages to my friend Naath to ask if she and her family were okay. I talk to several people from Venezuela here on Hive, but I don’t have such a direct conversation with any of them as I do with her. So I felt much more at ease when she told me that she and her family were okay.

I can say that, despite everything that’s been said in recent days about my country, it’s a very supportive place, and its people always send aid for whatever is needed. Here, people immediately began donating money to the victims, and many of us shared as much information as possible on social media to help send aid—whether in the form of money or whatever else is needed. In the face of disasters around the world—and especially those affecting our Latin American brothers and sisters—we’re always willing to help and give whatever little we have. It’s something that has always made me proud of my country, and I hope we never lose that. Although I truly hope and trust that those donations have reached the right people—I know the organizations to donate to were verified and we shared that information—I hope the aid continues to pour in from every possible source.

Well, friends, that wraps up my brief reflection on this topic. I know that material losses hurt and are hard to cope with, but you can move forward and start over. I’m sending you all the light.
